Torres is back in the starting 11 for Sunday's match against Granada.

Torres was forced to miss the Barcelona match due to a suspension, however now he's right back in the starting lineup. He'll look to create scoring chances as he faces a struggling Granada team near the bottom of the league.

Barcelona head into the second leg of their Champions League tie with Arsenal up 2-0, giving the Gunners little reason to think they'll be advancing to the next round.

Torres will be out of the starting XI against Barcelona on Tuesday thanks to a red card in the reverse fixture.

Torres's absence due to suspension is a huge setback for Atletico who will need every goal they can get to overcome the Spanish giants. The forward does have eight scores in all competitions this season, but only one of those has come in the Champions League. If they can overcome their 1-2 deficit from the first leg, the 32-year-old will slot back into the lineup for the next round of the competition.

Torres said that he hopes to stay with Atletico Madrid beyond this season and that he has no desire to move anywhere else, reports Sky Sports.

Torres joined Atletico on loan from AC Milan, and is hoping to extend that agreement or make the move a permanent one. The striker scored four goals in eight starts in La Liga so far this season, but hasn't been a consistent face in the side.

Torres will join Atletico Madrid on loan in January for the rest of this season and all of next term, the club announced Tuesday.

Torres completed a permanent transfer from Chelsea to AC Milan last week, who are then loaning him to his boyhood club. Torres made his professional debut at 17 with the club before eventually becoming captain, scoring 91 goals in 244 games. From a fantasy perspective, he is unlikely to unseat starting striker Mario Mandzukic, and he will have to battle Antoine Griezmann for playing time as well.

Torres will sign a permanent deal with AC Milan on Jan. 5, though he is expected to be loaned to La Liga side Atletico Madrid in January, the BBC reports.

Torres was on a two-year loan deal from Chelsea, but the two sides decided to make the deal complete, which would allow Milan to send him to to his boyhood club in exchange for Alessio Cerci.

Speculation is growing that Torres may leave the club just months into his loan from Chelsea, Football Italia reports.

Torres hasn't done well with AC Milan, but it may not be his fault. His characteristics are perhaps not the best fit for Milan.

An ankle sprain prevented Torres from making his debut with AC Milan on Sunday, reports the Daily Mail.

Torres suffered the injury on Saturday, but the club waited until Sunday night to reveal the issue. The team was hoping the striker would recover in time for the match, but Torres was unable to make the cut.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Torres has joined AC Milan on a two-year loan deal.

Torres has failed to live up to his pricey transfer fee while at Stamford Bridge, which meant he found himself on the substitutes bench more often than not. He should receive regular starts for Milan, with whom he'll try to re-gain his long-absent goalscoring form. It is rather interesting that the deal is for two seasons, though either way it's highly unlikely Torres will don a Chelsea shirt ever again.
