Cahill and the England back line held Slovakia scoreless in Monday's 0-0 draw, their first of the tournament. Cahill led the defense with 6.3 percent of the game's possession to go with three shots.

Cahill and Chris Smalling have kept every opponent in check so far in the tournament dominating the back, but with better competition, that will be a little harder.

Cahill was named in England final 23-man squad for Euro 2016.

Cahill got the nod in England's dress rehearsal against Portugal on Thursday as Chris Smalling's partner at center back. Regardless of that he isn't guaranteed the starting spot for the Euro games and even if gets it he isn't much of a fantasy factor. The 30-year-old defender finished his season with the Blues with two goals, one assist and merely two clean sheets in 23 Premier League appearances (21 starts).

Cahill hammered a goal on two shots (one on target) in Monday's 2-2 draw to Tottenham.

Cahill has had a troublesome season that has limited his availability. Injuries to the other center backs, however, have allowed him to start regularly whenever he's been healthy. He has a tendency to go upfront, though, that has only been his second goal of the season in 20 Premier League appearances and Chelsea haven't been able to pick up too many clean sheets. If healthy, he'll probably continue starting the rest of the way alongside John Terry.

Cahill (illness) is fit for Monday's match against Tottenham Hotspur.

Cahill has played just one of the past four Premier League matches while dealing with a variety of ailments. Furthermore, he's struggled with form and fitness, which has seen him play just 19 Premier League matches this season (17 starts). When fit, he's likely a starter alongside John Terry, who is also recovering from an injury.

Cahill has returned to the starting lineup for Chelsea's match against Man City on Saturday.

Cahill was deemed fit to play earlier this week and is now in the starting 11. With John Terry out, he'll add depth back to the weakened center back position, while adding a leadership role as well.

Cahill (hip) is available for Saturday's match against Manchester City.

After missing the past two matches with a hip problem, Cahill is fit to play Saturday against Manchester City. With John Terry still sidelined, Cahill's return is a boost to a Chelsea side that is sorely lacking depth at center back without Terry or Kurt Zouma, who is sidelined for the duration of the year with a knee injury. The 30-year-old Cahill hasn't been quite as consistent this season, but can still provide stability at the back for the Blues.

Cahill (hip) is not in the 18-man squad to face Swansea on Saturday.

Cahill failed his late fitness test, which will allow Matt Miazga to get another start alongside Branislav Ivanovic in central defense.

Cahill (hip) is a late fitness test for Saturday's match against Swansea City. "Well see this afternoon, well do a test to see if hes fit," manager Guus Hiddink said. "Its a bit of a tendon problem in his hip. He trained yesterday and well see how he reacts to what was an intense session."

With John Terry out of the lineup, the Blues are under extra duress at center back, which makes Cahill's injury all the more important. Matt Miazga got the start last match and could play again if Cahill can't go.
