Sagna (back) is not in the 18-man squad to face Stoke City on Saturday.

Manager Manuel Pellegrini said Friday that Sagna was fit enough to be available for Saturday's match, so it's a bit surprising he didn't even make the bench. Pablo Zabaleta will start at rightback again.

Manchester City need just a point to solidify their Champions League spot for next season, which keeps Kevin De Bruyne near the top of the midfielder rankings for the final week of the season.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Sagna (back) is available for Saturday's match against Stoke City.

Between wanting to rest the 33-year-old and injury, Sagna has played just 23 minutes total in the last four Premier League matches. Even when available, City could still turn to Pablo Zabaleta at right back, but Sagna's return would be a boon to the team's depth ahead of a busy period with at least two more Champions League matches in addition to holding off United in the top-four of the Premier League.

Sagna has been ruled out for Tuesday's match against Newcastle.

Sagna's absence will allow Pablo Zabaleta to remain in the starting XI, which comes at a solid time against a Newcastle side that's struggled to score consistently this season.

Sagna (leg) is starting Sunday against Manchester United.

Sagna's return to fitness will put him right back into the starting XI, pushing Pablo Zabaleta back to a reserve role.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Sagna kept a clean sheet in Saturday's scoreless draw with Norwich City.

Sagna didn't do much at either end, seeing very little in their own end while also not really probing in the attacking third. He was replaced by Pablo Zabaleta in the 85th minute, but it appeared to be tactical not due to injury. Sagna could see his place in the starting XI taken by Zabaleta moving forward with more nondescript performances.

Sagna helped Man City to a clean sheet in their 4-0 home win against Aston Villa on Saturday.

It was a very comfortable afternoon for Man City’s back four, no more so than for Bacary Sagna who had very little to do. With Pablo Zabaleta back fit, Sagna’s playing time, however, cannot be guaranteed so you should heed caution when contemplating your fantasy roster.

Sagna (knee) didn't make the 18-man squad of the Sunday's FA Cup tie against Chelsea.

Manager Manuel Pellegrini went out with a very young squad in an attempt to preserve the starters for the important Champions League visit to Kiev on Wednesday. This is where Sagna could make his return. Pablo Zabaleta will continue starting until the former is back in action.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Sagna (knee) worked out with the team this week and could return for Sunday's FA Cup match against Chelsea, manager Manuel Pellegrini said Friday.

Sagna has been a regular starter this season ahead of Pablo Zabaleta, but the latter could continue to start if the former can't recover in time.
