Pineaar was used as a sub Sunday and recorded an assist in the 3-1 win over Burnley.

Pineaar has been lacking playing time this season, but this productivity is promising. He's in a tough spot as he doesn't have a definitive spot and that injured players at his position are coming back from injury soon (Barkley, Mirallas). His playing time will likely continue to falter, so his time at Everton may be short.

Pienaar, who started Sunday's Premier League match against Manchester United after recovering from a thigh injury, had to be replaced in the 64th minute after picking up a knock.

Pienaar has battled a number of different injuries over the last few months and it was surely not a good sign that he had to leave Sunday's match early. He'll be able to rest over the international break, but scans taken next week will likely determine the extent of the injury.

Pienaar (quad) has fully participated in training this week and he appears likely to face Manchester United on Sunday, manager Roberto Martinez confirmed Friday.

Despite a fairly regular playing schedule, Pienaar isn't the most prolific fantasy option.

Pienaar faces a late fitness test ahead of Saturday's Merseyside derby due to the quad injury that has kept him out since August, manager Roberto Martinez said Friday.

Even if Pienaar does return, he isn't likely to play all 90 minutes and he isn't much of a fantasy contributor anyway.

Pienaar suffered groin injury in Saturday's Premier League match against Arsenal and had to be subbed off after just 10 minutes.

Pienaar will have to undergo a set of scans this week, but it wouldn't be surprising if he missed out on next weekend's match against Chelsea given how quickly he had to be removed after suffering the injury.

Pineaar took two shots and picked up an assist Saturday in a 2-2 draw with Leicester City.

Pineaar should see plenty of minutes as one of the only veterans on a very young Everton squad, although his fantasy value is a bit limited given his role.

Pienaar, who has been out since March with a knee injury, is set to return Sunday against Hull City, the club's official web site reports. "Steven Pienaar has trained really well this week," manager Roberto Martinez said Friday. "We still have two days of work and if he doesn't get any setbacks I expect him to be in the squad."

Despite the return to fitness, Pienaar remains a fairly unreliable fantasy option. The midfielder has one goal and two assists in 22 appearances this season.

Pienaar suffered a setback in his recovery from a knee injury and will be out for a few more weeks, reports. Manager Roberto Martinez said "Pienaar is doing well, there has been a problem in his cartilage. He will be available in a couple of weeks from now. It is a setback, but he is trying to get fit as quick as he can."

Pienaar has appeared in 23 games this season, but isn't a consistent member of the starting XI, which makes him a fairly unreliable fantasy option even when he's healthy.
