Begovic made two saves and conceded three goals in Saturday's 3-1 defeat to Southampton.

While the scoreline was bad, there wasn't much Begovic could do on any of the three goals. Branislav Ivanovic was miserable on the right flank, allowing Dusan Tadic and Sadio Mane to run roughshod over him, giving Begovic little chance to do much if anything. Chelsea has been poor this season, but few of their problems stem from Begovic, who's been admirable in filling in for Thibaut Courtois.

Diego Costa's three-match ban has opened up playing time for other forwards, though a few Chelsea midfielders could step up to fill the scoring void as well.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Begovic made three saves in Saturday's 2-2 draw at Newcastle.

Begovic allowed two goals in another disappointing day for the champions. The Bosnian stopper is only in the side because of the injury suffered by Thibault Courtois and remains a good bet behind Chelsea's defence.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Begovic made two saves while recording a clean sheet in Saturday's 2-0 victory over Arsenal.

The balance of play shifted significantly after Gabriel was sent off at the end of the first half and Arsenal finished the game with nine men thanks to a second red card with a quarter of an hour to play. Begovic was sound throughout, but wasn't troubled much throughout the game. The clean sheet was a positive sign as Chelsea's struggled mightily all season, but a team this talented won't toil at the bottom of the table for long, putting Begovic in line for more clean sheets down the road.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Begovic made six saves and conceded three goals in a loss to Everton on Saturday.

Chelsea were thoroughly outplayed by Everton and it could have been worse if Begovic didn't make a few tough saves. Seeing as how starting goalie Thibaut Courtois will miss significant time with a knee injury, Begovic is in line to get plenty of starts going forward. With Chelsea struggling, Begovic may be a nice cheap buy in fantasy right now as they are bound to turn it around at some point. Unfortunately, it doesn't get much easier as Chelsea take on Arsenal next Saturday.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Begovic is starting Saturday against Everton.

Begovic is expected to get a majority of the starts for Chelsea because Thibaut Courtois will be out for a considerable amount of time with a knee injury. It's a relatively tough matchup from a fantasy perspective, though manager Jose Mourinho is using a rather defensive lineup.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Begovic conceded three goals while recording five saves in Sunday's 3-0 defeat to Manchester City.

Pressed into duty midway through the last match against Swansea, Begovic looked up to the task of being the first team keeper for the Blues for the opening three quarters of the game before numerous defensive lapses allowed three to break the end line. While the scoreline may have been ugly, Begovic actually acquitted himself well, showing that he can be a sound option when pressed into duty. With Thibaut Courtois' suspension over, Begovic will likely return to being Chelsea's No. 2 keeper.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Begovic is expected to start Sunday against Manchester City in place of Thibaut Courtois, who is suspended after picking up a red card last weekend against Swansea City.

Begovic was brought in this summer to provide Chelsea with a legitimate option in goal if Courtois was unavailable, so while they will have a capable man guarding the net this weekend, it's a tall task for Begovic against arguably the league's best attack.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Begovic entered Saturday's match versus Swansea City in the 54th minute, allowing a penalty kick goal and making no saves during his abbreviated appearance.

The Bosnian started the match on the bench, but he was called into action after Thibaut Courtois was sent off for a foul in the box. Courtois will miss next week's away match against Manchester City and Begovic is expected to get his first competitive start in a Chelsea uniform.
