Bale scored in the 11th minute of Real Madrid's surprising 4-2 loss to Real Sociedad on Sunday.

Madrid took a 2-0 lead after Bale's goal, but gave it all back and then some in the second half. The goal was Bale's first of the season through two games, but he'll have to wait until after the international break to see if he can start a streak.

Bale took two shots, with one on goal, during Real Madrid's 2-0 win over Cordoba on Monday.

Bale was fairly limited offensively in the match, but he remains an elite fantasy option with double-digit goal and assist potential, especially in a lethal Madrid attack that now features James Rodriguez and Toni Kroos, along with leftovers Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema.

Bale scored in the 110th minute to put Real Madrid up 2-1 in their eventual 4-1 win over Atletico Madrid in the Champions League final Saturday.

After joining Real Madrid last summer in the biggest transfer in football history, Bale silenced the critics Saturday. He didn't have a great game, but he was big when it counted, helping Real to their 10th European Cup, and first since 2002. With Wales not in this summer's World Cup, Bale should have plenty of opportunities to rest this summer ahead of the 2014-15 La Liga season.

Bale had two goals and an assist during Real Madrid's 6-1 thrashing of Schalke on Wednesday in the Champions League round of 16 first leg.

Bale, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Karim Benzema all finished with two goals during Wednesday's rout. There was some talk before the match that Jese should start ahead of Bale, but the Welshman showed why he deserves a permanent spot in the starting XI with his dazzling performance.

Bale, returning from a groin injury, had a goal and an assist during Saturday's 4-2 win over Villarreal.

With Cristiano Ronaldo suspended, Bale, Jese and Karim Benzema picked up the offense, combining for all four goals and two assists. Bale continues to be an excellent fantasy producer when he's healthy, scoring nine goals and assisting on eight others in only 15 Liga appearances.

Bale will be held out of Tuesday's Copa del Rey quarterfinal second leg against Espanyol due to a thigh injury, ESPN FC reports. Manager Carlo Ancelotti said Bale "has no problem with his genitals. He is not comfortable with his left leg. He got a bang there, and is not fully recovered. He tried to train but he had some discomfort so we preferred to let him rest. He will not play [Tuesday], he will train so as to be ready for Sunday."

Bale was kicked in the groin during last Saturday's match against Granada and had to be subbed off at halftime. Jese will get the start in his place Tuesday, as Bale will try to recover in time to face Athletic Bilbao on Sunday.
