Bale took a game-high 10 shots during Real Madrid's 4-1 win over Real Sociedad on Saturday, though only two were on target. However, he did grab an assist on one of Karim Benzema's two goals, while also finishing with three successful dribbles and two crosses.

Bale moved into Cristiano Ronaldo's spot, with the latter suspended for the match, but the goals went to Benzema (two), James and Sergio Ramos. Ronaldo is suspended for one more game, so Bale should be active again Wednesday against Sevilla.

Bale assisted on Karim Benzema's 27th-minute goal and then scored a penalty in the 89th minute of Real Madrid's 2-1 win over Cordoba on Saturday.

Bale was allowed to take the penalty after Cristiano Ronaldo was sent off seven minutes earlier, and he'll keep the role during Ronaldo's upcoming suspension. Bale has been in excellent form of late, with a goal in three consecutive matches to bring him to 10 on the season, which leaves him fifth in La Liga behind Ronaldo (28), Lionel Messi (19), Neymar (12) and Carlos Bacca (11).

Bale scored in the 67th minute of Real Madrid's 3-0 win over Getafe on Sunday, finishing the match with three shots (two on goal), three key passes, five crosses and four tackles.

Bale has now scored in back-to-back La Liga matches, while also picking up an assist during Thursday's draw with Atletico Madrid in the Copa del Rey. He continues to be heavily involved in the attack and has taken multiple shots in all but one league game this season.

Bale scored on a beautiful free kick during Real Madrid's 3-0 win over Espanyol on Saturday, ending their three-game losing streak.

Bale's eight goals this season tie him for fifth in La Liga, though he's 18 behind league-leader -- and teammate -- Cristiano Ronaldo.

Bale will try to end his two-game goalless streak Saturday against Espanyol, who have allowed the most away goals for any team in the top-10 of the La Liga table.

Bale netted in four consecutive games in December, though they were spread out across three separate competitions: the Champions League, La Liga and the Club World Cup. With Cristiano Ronaldo battling a bit of a knee injury, Bale will be looked upon once again to break through, especially with Madrid on a two-game losing streak in official competitions.

Bale (upper leg) scored in his first start in a month as Madrid cruised past Rayo Vallecano 5-1 on Saturday.

It was the perfect time to get Bale back in the lineup, as it looked like Los Blancos were out there just having a kickaround. Madrid will have a sharp eye on Bale's fitness during the international break, with Wales slated to take on Belgium next weekend in Euro 2016 Qualifying.

Real Madrid boss Carlos Ancelotti says Bale will start Saturday against Rayo Vallecano, Reuters reports.

Good news for Madrid, but when putting together your starting XI, consider that he most likely will not go all 90 in his first start since missing almost a month with a glute strain.

Bale (glute) came on in the 62nd minute of Tuesday's 1-0 Champions League win over Liverpool.

Cannot be convinced that we are out of the woods yet with the Welshmen. His status for this weekend's match with Rayo could still be in a bit of doubt. Madrid have more than enough fire power to err on the side of caution with Bale and ease him back into the lineup.
