Kaboul missed last Sunday's match against Everton due to the ailment, but he was able to recover over the week. The Black Cats' back line hasn't been terribly effective this season, and a matchup against a Saints side that beat them 8-0 last year doesn't bode for extra confidence.

Kaboul (groin) has returned to fitness ahead of Saturday's fixture against Southampton.

Kaboul and the rest of the Black Cats back line has been shaky at best this season. However, they've been better with him in the lineup than without, conceding six times to Everton last weekend without him in the squad. The former Spurs stalwart isn't much of a fantasy option due to the poor quality of players around him and his reluctance to score goals or create assists too often, notching just one in eight matches this season.

Kaboul is questionable for Sunday's game against Everton because of the groin injury suffered Sunday against Newcastle.

The Black Cats were hit with the injury bug Sunday, as John O'Shea (hamstring) and Ola Toivonen (groin) also sustained ailments. Kaboul's fantasy upside certainly increased when Sam Allardyce took over, though the injury certainly doesn't help his cause.

Kaboul (knee) is starting Saturday against West Brom.

The Sunderland defense has really struggled this season, and while the addition of new manager Sam Allardyce should help matters, it will take more than a coaching change to turn things around from a fantasy perspective.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Kaboul is eligible to play on Saturday against Manchester United after serving a one-match ban in Tuesday's Capital One Cup tie, James Hunter of the Newcastle Chronicle reports.

Kaboul has struggled considerably this season, but remains a fixture of Sunderland's starting XI. He should slot back in as a starting center-half alongside John O'Shea with Sebastian Coates vacating his starting spot from Tuesday.
