Kaboul tallied a clean sheet, two shots (one on target), two dribbles and three tackles in Wednesday's magnificent 3-0 win over Everton.

Kaboul has been a rock since his return from a long-term injury in the beginning of March, helping anchor the Black Cats to four clean sheets and only five goals allowed in the past seven games. Outside the clean sheets, though, he hasn't been much of a fantasy factor with only one assist and no goals in 23 Premier League appearances.

Arsenal is facing yet another injury crisis, but a fit Mesut Ozil continues to pull the strings and heads into this weekend's match against Aston Villa with a league-leading 12 assists.

Kaboul kept a clean sheet in Sunday's scoreless draw with Arsenal.

The long-time Spurs central defender did well to cope with Arsenal's skill up front. After spending a long spell on the sidelines, he's played at least an hour of the past seven matches, keeping three clean sheets in that time while fully cementing his place in the starting XI for the team's final stretch to remain in the Premier League.

Kaboul trained Thursday and will be available for Sunderland against West Brom, according to manager Sam Allardyce.

Kaboul may get the start, but even in a favorable matchup against West Brom, it's hard to trust any Sunderland defenders. The Black Cats have conceded 55 goals in 30 league matches this campaign.

Kaboul (ankle) is available off the bench Saturday against West Ham.

John O'Shea and Lamine Kone will start in central defense, with Kaboul likely needing a little more time to work on his match fitness before he competes for a first XI spot.

Kaboul (ankle) was not listed among the injured players during manager Sam Allardyce's weekly press conference Thursday, and he could play Saturday against West Ham.

Kaboul suffered the injury earlier this month in training, but a bit of time off appears to have been enough to get him back in contention to play. Sunderland have struggled greatly defensively this season, and with a matchup against West Ham this weekend, Kaboul's fantasy prospects are hardly bright.

Kaboul suffered an ankle injury in training this week, which will further delay his return to the pitch, the Sunderland Echo reports.

Kaboul has been sidelined for more than two months because of a hamstring injury, and while he is reportedly recovered from that ailment, his ankle will now keep him out, forcing Sunderland to use John O'Shea alongside Lamine Kone.

Kaboul was unable to return from his hamstring injury Saturday against Liverpool after suffering a groin injury in training Friday, according to Chris Young of the Sunderland Echo.

The latest ailment is not considered serious, but given that Kaboul has already missed two months with the hamstring injury, the club will ensure he's fully fit before considering him for next weekend's match against Manchester United.

Kaboul (hamstring) is not in the 18-man squad to face Liverpool on Saturday.

Kaboul was expected to return from his two-month layoff, but he is apparently not quite fit enough to even make the bench. John O'Shea and Jan Kirchhoff will start in central defense at Anfield.
