Ivanovic posted one shot off target and two tackles in Saturday's 4-1 win over Bournemouth.

The Blues' defense wasn't the most efficient, allowing the Cherries to post up constant threat on Asmir Begovic, especially while the hosts were still in contention. Ivanovic hasn't been the same fantasy weapon as last season, especially lining up as a centerback recently, but he's still an important piece of Chelsea's back line with a consistent spot in the starting lineup.

Ivanovic and the Chelsea defense held Aston Villa scoreless in a 4-0 road win Saturday. It is Chelsea's first clean sheet since Feb. 3.

A year after scoring four goals and six assists, Ivanovic has been a bit of a disappointment this season. He has just eight clean sheets on the campaign to go with two goals and three assists.

Ivanovic headed home the match-winner in Saturday's 2-1 victory over Southampton.

As the match wound to a close, Ivanovic got his head through a Willian corner and blasted it past the massive Fraser Forster to give Chelsea the three points. Wearing the armband for the sixth time this season, Ivanovic slotted home his second goal of the season, off his pace of six across all comps last season.

Ivanovic took one shot (one on target) while keeping a clean sheet in Wednesday's scoreless draw with Watford.

After two assists in his previous three matches, Ivanovic was decisive at the back and probing moving forward again on Wednesday. This was the team's second straight clean sheet and they'll look to make it three when they take on Manchester United.

Ivanovic tallied an assist while keeping a clean sheet in Sunday's 1-0 victory over Arsenal.

With Arsenal down to 10 men, the full back was given even greater freedom to roam up the pitch and found Diego Costa right at the doorstep of the goal thanks to the disorganized Arsenal back line down their skipper for the first and only goal of the match. The assist was only his second of the season, but they've both come in the past three matches.

Ivanovic is expected to sign a new contract with Chelsea this week after agreeing to a one-year deal, reports the Daily Mail.

The defender was recently offered the new deal after making 22 appearances so far this season. He will be out of his current contract this summer and can speak with foreign teams.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Ivanovic headed one home on two shots (one on target) and added four crosses and team-leading four interceptions in the 3-1 win over Sunderland on Saturday.

It was a classic, a-la-Brane, header from corner for the goal. Sadly, for his loyal fantasy fans though, only his first of the season. Hes had a rough beginning of the season but may, however, be on the way to see some better days. Next on the deck for him are more favorable match-ups against the low-scoring Watford and Man Utd.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Ivanovic endured a nightmarish beginning of the season at both ends of the pitch, but he has shown improved form in four matches since his one and a half-month injury layoff.

The Serbian has helped the Blues to three clean sheets since his return and is averaging over four crosses per game, resembling the outstanding fantasy option from the last few seasons. Ivanovic is less than an ideal play against Leicester City this weekend, but he should be firmly on the fantasy radar for next week's home match versus Sunderland.
