Guzan gave up three goals while only saving three shots during Saturday's 3-0 lost to Everton on Saturday.

Guzan has had a rough go of it lately while giving up 11 goals in his past four matches. To his credit, Villa has been facing prime competitors during that span so his viability further along in the season still holds up.

Guzan played Saturday's match with the stomach flu.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Guzan recorded his third clean sheet of the season with Saturday's one-save performance against Liverpool.

Aston Villa's early success is definitely a surprise, but Guzan should be highly valued regardless. Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester City are next on the docket for the American goalkeeper which should pose some problems for his value, but then again, Villa wasn't supposed to shut out Liverpool.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Guzan only needed to save four shots against Newcastle on Saturday to record his second-straight clean sheet of the season.

It's no surprise that Guzan is one of the better goalies in the EPL, but his hot start is still a little surprising nonetheless. He'll look to continue this string of success when Hull City comes to Villa Park on Sunday.

Guzan certainly got the season off to a hot start, but he'll likely be called into action more often when Newcastle visits Villa Park on Saturday.

Guzan hasn't been a particularly good fantasy option lately, as Tuesday's clean sheet was his first in the last six Premier League matches and second in his last 14.
