Altidore scored in the 56th minute of Toronto's 3-1 win over Montreal on Wednesday.

Altidore took a brilliant pass from Michael Bradley and scored with a wonderful strike, though it was his only attempt of the game. He missed time at the end of May with a hamstring injury, and the goal was his first since May 10. Unfortunately, he will be leaving for the Gold Cup after this weekend's match against D.C. United, a tournament that could keep him away from MLS for nearly all of July.

Altidore will leave Toronto FC following Saturday's game against D.C. United to join the U.S. Men's National Team in preparation for the Gold Cup, Kurtis Larson of the Toronto Sun reports.

Altidore will enter international competition having not played a full 90 since May 10 for Toronto FC. The exact length of his absence remains undetermined, but Luke Moore should continue to see added minutes throughout the majority of July nonetheless.

Altidore (hamstring) said after Tuesday's practice that he's not quite 100 percent and isn't ready to play a full 90, John Molinaro of Sportsnet reports.

Altidore still seems to be recovering from his hamstring injury but he managed to play for eight minutes off the bench in Saturday's match against D.C. United. After his remarks Tuesday, expectations for Altidore's upcoming games should be curbed as he's unlikely to take on a full compliment of minutes for fear of re-aggravating his oft-injured hamstring. However, he notified USA manager Jurgen Klinsmann that he'll be ready for Gold Cup selection in July.

Altidore played eight minutes off the bench in his return from a hamstring injury Saturday against D.C. United.

Altidore returned early from the injury, and he could very well slot back into the starting lineup in Toronto's next MLS game, though that doesn't come until June 20 against NYC FC.

Altidore (hamstring) is included on the 18-man roster as a substitute for Saturday's match against D.C. United.

Altidore is returning to the lineup a bit earlier than expected after suffering a hamstring injury just a few weeks ago. While his availability for Saturday's match is a good sign moving forward, it's still unclear just how fit he truly is at this point.

Altidore will be sidelined for 4-to-5 weeks after suffering a hamstring injury Saturday against the Revolution.

Altidore suffered the injury while attempting a shot and came off immediately after. It wasn't the same reaction as the one he had during last summer's World Cup, but the end result is similar. While the timeline will allow him to return before the Gold Cup this summer, it's unclear if he'll be fully fit for it.

Altidore came off in the 19th minute of Saturday's match against New England with a suspected hamstring injury.

Altidore suffered a hamstring injury early in last summer's World Cup and missed the rest of the tournament with the ailment. He's been very productive of late, scoring three times in his last three games, but he finished Saturday without attempting a single shot.

Altidore scored twice during Toronto's 2-0 win over Orlando City on Sunday.

Altidore bagged a brace in the season-opener as well, but he failed to find the back of the net again until Sunday's match. He's always capable of scoring while fronting a very effective attack, but he's hardly the definition of consistent.
