Espindola returned from a shoulder injury Wednesday against Chicago and picked up two assists despite playing just 45 minutes. He's been very effective when healthy this season, as he now has one goal and four assists in four appearances.

Espindola missed six games due to the injury, and while he didn't get the start Wednesday, he came on for Miguel Aguilar at halftime and picked up his first assist on a corner before helping on Conor Doyle's 75th-minute goal. Espindola has been excellent in limited time this season, as he now has one goal and three assists in three appearances (two starts).

Espindola has missed six consecutive games due to the ailment, last playing May 2 against Columbus when he had a goal and an assist. It seems unlikely that he starts Wednesday, but an appearance off the bench definitely seems possible.

Espindola will not travel for Wednesday's game against the Timbers because of a shoulder injury, and he will not play Saturday against Philadelphia, the Washington Post reports.

Head coach Ben Olsen described Espindola as "coming along" in his recovery, but it remains unclear when he'll be able to return. With the next two games no longer an option, his next opportunities will come June 3 against Chicago or June 6 against Toronto.
