Gomis has been ruled out for 3-to-4 weeks after suffering a hamstring injury last weekend against Everton, the club's official website reports.

Gomis has been a consistent starter for the Swans ever since they sold Wilfried Bony to Manchester City in January, but they'll now have to likely go with Nelson Oliviera, who recently recovered from an ankle injury, or Marvin Emnes, who came on for Gomis in last weekend's match.

Gomis will have scans performed on his hamstring after pulling up lame after a shot attempt during Saturday's match against Everton, manager Roberto Martinez said.

Gomis came into the match with three goals in his last two games, but he obviously didn't get nearly enough time to try to extend his streak. Manager Garry Monk said the club is hopeful it is nothing too serious, though they won't know for sure until the results of the scans are completed.

Gomis suffered a hamstring injury in the first half of Saturday's match against Everton and had to be subbed off before playing even 20 minutes, according to the South Wales Evening Post.

Gomis ripped off a rattling shot just moments before suffering the injury, though it was saved on a heroic stop by Tim Howard. With Nelson Oliveira out with a foot injury, Marvin Emnes replaced Gomis.

Gomis scored on both shots he attempted during Saturday's 3-1 victory over Hull City.

That makes four goals in the last five starts for Gomis, who is clearly taking to his new role as the featured striker in the Swansea attack. The Frenchman will look to continue his prolific run of form against Everton next week.

Gomis fired off five shots and scored the winning goal in a 1-0 victory over Aston Villa on Saturday.

Gomis still only has only six goals to his name on the season, but has become a go-to attacking option since the departure of Wilfried Bony and will continue to have every opportunity to produce. Swansea next faces Hull City on April 4.

Gomis took three unsuccessful shots during Monday's loss to Liverpool.

Gomis made his comeback after collapsing on the pitch in the match against the Spurs on March 3. Despite the scare, he managed to play the full 90 Monday and should be deployed as usual moving forward.

Gomis declared himself fit and well after collapsing early in the first half of Wednesday's match against Tottenham at White Hart Lane. “I wanted to reassure you concerning my health,” said Gomis. “It actually looks much scarier than it is physically dangerous, and I am feeling well now. I have been under a great deal of stress and fatigue due to my father’s health, which requires me to go back and forth from France. I was disappointed that I couldn’t help my team tonight, but now everything is back in order. I also want to thank everyone for their support and get well messages.”

Gomis fell to the ground near midfield right after Spurs opened the scoring, with medical teams from both clubs rushing to help him. He was stretchered off the pitch and evaluated further at the park until taken to a local hospital for further evaluations. Gomis has a history of fainting, as he did it three times during the 2008 season, though it has not been much of an issue recently. It is unclear if Gomis has been cleared by the medical staff, though it is certainly understandable if he misses time due to the latest incident.

Gomis collapsed near midfield early in Wednesday's match against Tottenham at White Hart Lane and had to be stretchered off, according to ESPN FC.

It was a scary scene, as the medical staff of both clubs worked on Gomis, who was seen getting oxygen as he was stretchered off. This is not the first time he has collapsed, as he did so three times during the 2008 season.
