Swansea's Garry Monk has ruled out any transfer of Gomis during the winter transfer window, according to the Daily Mail.

Crystal Palace was heavily linked with a move for the striker, but it doesn't appear that he will be allowed to leave Swansea until at least the summer after Swansea already sold Wilfried Bony to Manchester City.

Gomis played the full 90 against West Ham on Saturday as he took six shots, one of which was on goal.

Gomis was inserted into the starting XI on Saturday since normal starter Wilfried Bony has left to compete in the Africa Cup of Nations. Normally Gomis' value would increase for just a few weeks, although Bony will be transferring to Manchester City after the Cup of Nations, leaving Gomis as the leading striker for Swansea moving forward.

Gomis took three shots against Liverpool on Monday, although none of his attempts were on goal.

Gomis has been used off the bench in limited fashion this season and that will likely continue as the season moves onward. He'll be looking for his second goal of the season against QPR on New Years Day.

Gomis was an unused substitute against Aston Villa on Boxing Day.

Gomis was in the starting IX against Hull City this past Saturday, although with the compressed schedule it's likely that manager Garry Monk is alternating Gomis and Wilfried Bony as the premiere strikers to keep them fresh. Putting that into consideration, it wouldn't be surprising if Gomis saw significant time on the pitch against Liverpool on Monday.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gomis was placed in the starting XI against Hull City on Saturday and he managed to take two shots before getting subbed off the pitch in the 76th minute.

Gomis won't likely garner the start over Wilfried Bony in many instances moving forward, but the compressed schedule over the next two weeks will likely open up some extra opportunities for Gomis.

Gomis was subbed onto the pitch in the 85th minute of Sunday's match against Tottenham and was unable to register any shots during his short time in the action.

Gomis will likely fare better this Saturday against Hull City, a team that's giving up 1.44 goals per match. Although, Gomis will need to see more time on the pitch for that to really even matter.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gomis managed to take one shot during his 25 minutes on the pitch against West Ham on Sunday.

As evidenced by Sunday's outing, Gomis has been used in limited fashion off the bench by manager Garry Monk this season. He currently has one goal on 13 shots this year and will look to add onto that total when Swansea faces Tottenham on Sunday.

Gomis was subbed onto the pitch in the 75th minute of Saturday's 1-1 tie with Crystal Palace.

Gomis was only able to get off one shot during Saturday's performance. He's been limited off the bench this season and that trend will likely continue when Swansea faces QPR on Tuesday.
