Modric did not make the trip from Los Angeles to Oakland to face Inter Milan on Sunday in the Guinness International Champions Cup, Marca reports.

Modric will stay back and focus on fitness work, although there does not appear to be any injury that he is dealing with that will prohibit him from being ready for the start of La Liga.
