Dos Santos had an impressive MLS debut Sunday against the Sounders as he scored a goal, registered an assist, took three shots, handled six corner kicks, and drew two fouls.

Dos Santos started up front alongside Robbie Keane on Sunday and it appears that head coach Bruce Arena will utilize those two players as his premier strikers during the rest of the season. Obviously that opens up a lot of possibilities for the Mexican as he heads arguably the most offensively gifted squad MLS has ever seen.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Dos Santos will start up front alongside Robbie Keane in the Galaxy's 4-4-2 formation against the Sounders on Sunday.

This will be the first MLS start for Dos Santos as he and Keane lead an impressive attack followed up by Steven Gerrard, Juninho, Gyasi Zardes, and Sebastian Lletget. It's an offense that will undoubtedly score, and having Dos Santos play so far up front will immediately give him elite value across all fantasy formats.

Dos Santos (thigh) only played 33 minutes in his Galaxy debut against Central FC in CONCACAF Champions League on Friday but he still scored, tallied an assist, and took five shots, two of which were on goal.

Dos Santos proved his health during the 33 minutes after he was limited while playing with Mexico in the Gold Cup. Next up for the midfielder is his MLS debut, which will likely take place Sunday against the Sounders.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Dos Santos has joined the Galaxy and is expected to debut sometime in August.

Dos Santos recently finished up a stint with Mexico during their victorious Gold Cup run but he was limited throughout the tournament by a thigh injury. He's expected to start for the Galaxy in due time but may ease his way into the lineup during the month of August before he takes on a full workload.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Dos Santos is unlikely to play in Mexico's quarterfinal Gold Cup match against Costa Rica because of a left adductor injury suffered Wednesday against Trinidad and Tobago.

Dos Santos, who officially joined the Galaxy this week, is only expected to be out for three to five days, though he isn't going to make his MLS debut until Mexico is eliminated from the Gold Cup.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Dos Santos signed with the Galaxy on Wednesday after transferring from Villarreal.

Dos Santos, will join up with the club in August after the Gold Cup with Mexico, was able to be brought in after the Galaxy used targeted allocation money to lower Omar Gonzalez's cap hit, which opened up another designated player spot. Dos Santos is an exciting player who could be a prolific fantasy producer when he joins up with the team. He's played for Villarreal, Barcelona and Spurs internationally and has been playing with the Mexican national team since he was 19.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Dos Santos managed just five goals and five assists in 37 appearances this season as he struggled with injuries and inconsistency.

The 26-year-old still showed glimpses of his immense talent this year, but was simply not fit enough to string together many good performances, as he came off the bench 18 times. Dos Santos seems likely to stay put at Villareal, who will hope the Mexican playmaker can finally start to live up to his potential.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Dos Santos registered two shots on goal Sunday, including the opening goal in Villareal's 4-1 win over Celta Vigo. He also picked up a muscle injury and was substituted before halftime.

Dos Santos hasn't exactly been lighting it up this season, as Sunday's goal was his first in 19 La Liga matches. He has scored twice in his last four matches in all competitions, however, so hopefully the injury is nothing serious and he can continue to build on this recent momentum next week versus Almeria.
