Jovetic was not included in manager Manuel Pellegrini's injured players for Sunday's match against Swansea.

Despite the return to fitness from a number of nagging ailments, Jovetic isn't likely to make much of an impact with Sergio Aguero, Edin Dzeko and Wilfried Bony all fit.

Jovetic (muscular injury) has been ruled out for Saturday's match against Aston Villa.

There haven't been many updates regarding Jovetic's recovery, but with Sergio Aguero, Edin Dzeko and Wilfried Bony all fit, there's little reason to bring Jovetic back before he's fully healthy.

Jovetic (muscular injury) has been ruled out for Sunday's match against West Ham.

Manager Manuel Pellegrini didn't give many details regarding Jovetic's recovery during Friday's press conference, only saying that he was "recovering." The injury comes at a tough time for Jovetic, who could have gotten at least a little playing time in place of Wilfried Bony, who is out with an ankle injury. It appears Jovetic's days in Manchester are numbered, as he is widely believed to be sold this summer, though the current ailment certainly won't help his transfer fee.

Jovetic is an injury doubt for the Manchester derby because of a muscle injury, manager Manuel Pellegrini said Friday.

The January signing of Wilfried Bony has all but dried up Jovetic's playing time, though with the former out because of ankle and knee issues, Jovetic, if he can pass fit, may be able to grab a place on the bench for Sunday's huge match, with Sergio Aguero and Edin Dzeko likely starting up top.

Jovetic has been dropped from Manchester City's Champions League squad list in favor of Wilfried Bony, the Manchester Evening News reports.

Jovetic has been a very inconsistent player for City, and while it looked like he may be able to keep his Champions League spot because of his ability to drop back to midfield, the versatility was simply not enough for manager Manuel Pellegrini. Given the situation, it wouldn't be surprising at all if Jovetic was sent packing during the summer.

Jovetic will not return from his hamstring injury to face West Brom on Boxing Day, the Independent reports.

City will be without their top three strikers again, as Sergio Aguero (knee) and Edin Dzeko ( calf) are also still sidelined. Jovetic will try to give it a go Sunday against Burnley at the Etihad Stadium.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Jovetic was unable to play in Saturday's match against Leicester City after picking up a muscular injury, and he could miss a number of weeks, according to manager Manuel Pellegrini. "We are without (Edin) Dzeko, (Sergio) Aguero and Jovetic, for more than a couple weeks," Pellegrini said. "We must see how long it takes Jovetic to recover."

Aguero (knee) has already been ruled out for at least four to six weeks, and Dzeko (calf) could be sidelined for a similar time after injuring himself Saturday in pregame warmups. Jovetic appears the closest to a return, but given the total injury issues, it's unlikely he's rushed back before he's fully fit, leaving Yaya Toure and David Silva to be the focus of the Citizens' attack.
