Shea has been unable to train this week because of a foot injury, the Orlando Sentinel reports.

Shea reportedly had an injection in his foot to help relieve some of the pain and swelling, but it hasn't been enough to get him back on the training pitch, which certainly doesn't bode well for his availability for the Lions' final two games of the season.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Shea scored one of two team goals on three shots (two on goal) Sunday as Orlando City fell to the LA Galaxy 4-2 on the road.

Shea provided Orlando City an immediate spark off the bench in Sunday's match, first firing off a shot from distance six minutes into the second half that LA goalkeeper Brian Rowe barely swatted over the bar, then earning his second goal in as many games off a rebound in stoppage time. The defender has now found the back of the net three times this season and heads into a fixture with Columbus next Sunday currently tied with Julio Baptista, Adrian Winter and Seb Hines as the Lions' No. 3 in scoring. Shea too logged a single key pass, an interception and a recovery in the loss to the Galaxy.

Shea scored the opening goal in Wednesday's 4-1 win over Montreal. He had two shots but also committed three fouls and picked up a yellow card in the match.

Shea made the most of his first start in three games, scoring his first goal since April. He's taken on more of an attacking role when he's in the lineup, but he could return to the bench as early as Saturday when Kevin Molino returns from international duty.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Shea had a team-high two shots on goal Saturday as Orlando City played Colorado to a scoreless draw on the road.

Shea set a season-high for shots on goal in Saturday's road fixture while also logging a single key pass, one tackle, two clearances, two interceptions and six recoveries over the span of a full 90 minutes playing time. The absence of Kevin Molino and Seb Hines in the match clearly limited the midfielder's overall effectiveness on the offensive side of the ball, but not so much so that Shea wasn't able to record at least one shot on net for the third time in four appearances.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Shea had a team-high tying four shots (one on goal) Sunday as Orlando City played Chicago to a 2-2 draw on the road.

Shea not only matched Cyle Larin with a team-high four shots in Sunday's fixture, but too established a season-best in that respective category in the process. The Orlando City midfielder, who also logged a full 90 minutes playing time for the first time since July 13 in the draw, added five key passes, a single tackle, and two clearances to his overall totals as well. Regardless, a scoreless streak that now extends itself to 16 total appearances leaves Shea's overall fantasy value minimal when compared to fellow Lions such as Larin, Kevin Molino or Kaka.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Shea had three shots (one on goal) and earned a single assist in 45 minutes playing time Sunday as Orlando City defeated New England 3-1 at home.

Shea, who subbed in for midfielder Hadji Barry coming out of halftime of Sunday's fixture, caught New England off-guard by setting up shop at right wing instead of his usual position on the left. The move, described as "a little tactical adjustment" by new head coach Jason Kreis, paid significant dividends, with Shea both helping to spark a two-goal second half and recording his first assist since a March 6 draw with Chicago. The shift also allowed Kevin Molino to remain at midfield on the left, where a growing relationship with Luke Boden over the Lions' last few outings has boosted the club's overall defensive output.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

New head coach Jason Kreis is moving Shea back to his attacking role, which was the case in Wednesday's friendly against Stoke City. He worked on the opposite side of the field as Kevin Molino.

Shea was more than happy to move back to his former role in the friendly, taking the captain's armband for the first 45 minutes of the match. With two upcoming home games to test it out, Shea is definitely a player to keep on the radar. If the experiment works out, Orlando will have a potent attack that includes Kaka, Molino and Cyle Larin.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Shea did not travel with Orlando City for Saturday's fixture at Columbus, Alicia Rose DelGallo of the Orlando Sentinel tweets.

Shea apparently did not travel with Orlando City to Columbus as a result of "a minor injury," but no further information has yet to be provided by team representatives. Fantasy owners will want to track closely the status of the defender heading into July 31st's home fixture versus New England, as Shea has now missed each of his club's last two contests.
