Shea (hernia) has resumed light training and hopes to return sometime in the next couple of weeks, Lucas Casas of OrlandoCitySC.com reports.

Shea underwent a procedure to correct a sports hernia back in mid-July and was originally given a 6-8 week timetable for a return. His impending comeback will ultimately lead to a spot in the starting XI, but the season is winding down and he'll have just a limited time to make an impact on a squad that's struggling to compete in their inaugural MLS season.

Shea will not play Saturday against Chicago, as he will be away on international duty.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Shea has served his one-match red-card ban and will be eligible to face the Fire on Saturday.

Shea has moved up to a midfield role, which gives him a little more upside in leagues where he's still classified as a defender, though he still isn't producing nearly enough to be a regular fantasy starter.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Shea is suspended for Saturday's match against Columbus after picking up a red card last Sunday against the Earthquakes.

Shea has been a very active attacker of late, as he's moved up into the midfield, but he's been a limited fantasy option in many formats with zero goals and one assist this season. He does put in a fair number of crosses, which gives him a bit of a fantasy production floor, but fantasy owners would surely like to see more upside sooner rather than later.

Shea has bounced around the Championship in England of late, but he figures to get plenty of playing time back in MLS.
