McGeady (hamstring) is not in the 18-man squad to face Everton on Sunday.

It is believed that McGeady has returned to training, but he apparently isn't strong enough to even get a spot on the bench. His next opportunity to play will come Saturday against Spurs.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

McGeady (hamstring) is not in the 18-man squad to face Southampton on Saturday.

McGeady returned to training this week and manager Roberto Martinez noted that he expected McGeady to be fit for Saturday's match. The Everton midfield is fairly crowded, so it may be tough for McGeady to get consistent starts when he returns to full health.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

McGeady (hamstring) returned to training this week and is expected to be available Saturday against Southampton.

McGeady's return will put added pressure on manager Roberto Martinez's decisions on who to play in the midfield, and while McGeady got fairly consistent playing time last season, a crowded midfield could limit his upside.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

McGeady (hamstring) will not play in Everton's Premier League opener against Watford on Saturday, but he is hopeful of playing the following Saturday against Southampton.

McGeady was a consistent starter at points last season, though with so many options in the midfield for manager Roberto Martinez, he's tough to rely upon in most formats.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

McGeady (hamstring) is expected to return to training in the next two or three weeks.

McGeady hasn't played at all during Everton's international tour because of the injury, and given the timeline to return to training, he isn't likely to be match fit until September.

McGeady was subbed on in the 77th minute and grabbed a 93rd minute assist on a game-winning goal by Romelu Lukaku in the 2-1 win over West Ham on Saturday.

McGeady sent in three crosses in his crucial 13 minutes and was able to contribute a winning assist on a Lukaku header. McGeady has really taken a leadership role for Everton and has sparked them to their good form over the last two months of the season. McGeady and Everton take on Tottenham next Saturday in their final match.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

McGeady is unlikely to play Saturday at Swansea City because of back pain, manager Roberto Martinez said Thursday.

Martinez noted that McGeady will be given a late fitness test, but he was not optimistic that the midfielder would be available to play. He isn't a great fantasy contributor in most formats, so his absence isn't likely to change much.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

McGeady came on in the 31st minute for the injured Kevin Mirallas in the 1-1 draw to Liverpool Saturday.

The Mirallas injury could be significant, so it seems McGeady is next in line to receive some good playing time. Look for the speedster to be in the starting XI next weekend against a poor Manchester United defense.
