RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

McGeady made an appearance off the bench in three Republic of Ireland matches during Euro 2016, taking three shots, with one on target and four crosses. He extended his international record to 85 caps and five goals. Ireland lost 2-1 out to France and were knocked out of the tournament at the round of 16.

McGeady found playing time hard to come by with Everton last season and was loaned out to Sheffield Wednesday in January. The 30-year-old wide midfielder managed to only score one goal in 13 Championship appearances and will have to face another uphill battle for playing time with Everton under new manager Ronald Koeman in 2016/17 campaign.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

McGeady has been loaned to Sheffield Wednesday for the remainder of this season.

McGeady's loan down to the Championship comes after he made just one appearance for Everton to this point in the current campaign. In need of playing time before this summer's Euros, McGeady will hope his time with Wednesday helps revive his club career.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

McGeady is close to joining Sheffield Wednesday on loan for the rest of the season, the Liverpool Echo reports.

McGeady has found playing time very hard to come by this season, and a move to the Championship side will at least ensure he gets more opportunities at first-team football.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

McGeady (hamstring) is not in the 18-man squad to face Everton on Sunday.

It is believed that McGeady has returned to training, but he apparently isn't strong enough to even get a spot on the bench. His next opportunity to play will come Saturday against Spurs.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

McGeady (hamstring) is not in the 18-man squad to face Southampton on Saturday.

McGeady returned to training this week and manager Roberto Martinez noted that he expected McGeady to be fit for Saturday's match. The Everton midfield is fairly crowded, so it may be tough for McGeady to get consistent starts when he returns to full health.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

McGeady (hamstring) returned to training this week and is expected to be available Saturday against Southampton.

McGeady's return will put added pressure on manager Roberto Martinez's decisions on who to play in the midfield, and while McGeady got fairly consistent playing time last season, a crowded midfield could limit his upside.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

McGeady (hamstring) will not play in Everton's Premier League opener against Watford on Saturday, but he is hopeful of playing the following Saturday against Southampton.

McGeady was a consistent starter at points last season, though with so many options in the midfield for manager Roberto Martinez, he's tough to rely upon in most formats.
