Van der Vaart (thigh) rejoined first-team training Thursday and could be fit for Saturday's Bundesliga match against Borussia Dortmund, reports.

Van der Vaart hurt his thigh while in training with the Dutch national team last week, forcing him to miss two World Cup qualifiers. Van der Vaart has gotten off to a very good start this season, scoring three goals and recording one assist through four matches. He's well on his way to matching, or exceeding, his five goals from last year, which he paired with nine assists over 28 appearances.

van der Vaart was widely believed to have earned a spot on the bench after two quiet showings for the Netherlands in their first two games. He did start, and was one of the lone bright spots for a Dutch side that was thoroughly outclassed by Portugal.

van der Vaart scored in second half stoppage time to earn Spurs a well-deserved 1-1 draw with Stoke on Wednesday.

VDV and his Spurs looked lethargic at times, and you can't blame them after witnessing the Fab Muamba tragedy first hand over the weekend. They picked it up in the second half, and a draw was the least they deserved. Still, Arsenal jumped over Spurs for third in the table.
