Gomes made eight saves while conceding once in Saturday's 1-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.

Gomes was excellent throughout the match, wearing the captain's armband for the first time this season, claiming everything and making a litany of saves, but Spurs sent wave after wave of attack and eight saves wasn't enough to keep a zero on the scoresheet. The 34-year-old has kept nine clean sheets this season and has been steady between the sticks for the surprising Hornets.

RotoWire's Alex Spalding likes Romelu Lukaku this weekend against West Brom, but there's another striker in blue who could have an even bigger impact in his game.

Gomes made four saves while keeping a clean sheet in Wednesday's scoreless draw with Chelsea.

After a relatively quiet first half, Gomes made a couple of nice saves in the second half to preserve a point against Chelsea. This was Gomes' ninth clean sheet in the Premier League this season as Watford have been a solid mid-table side for much of the season. He'll look to make it two clean sheets in a row over the weekend against Spurs.

Gomes made one save in Monday's 2-1 loss to Tottenham.

Gomes couldn't do much to avoid conceding twice against Spurs. He was screened by his defender on Erik Lamela's opener and was caught off guard by Heung-Min Son's superb back heel flick from close range. Those two goals bring his total to four allowed in the last two matches. With a visit from Manchester City up next, it's understandable to be hesitant when looking at the Brazilian to fill in between the sticks.

Gomes made no saves en route to a 2-2 away draw to Chelsea on Boxing Day.

Gomes had a match to forget. He made no saves or claims and was helpless twice in front of Diego Costa's prolific might. The Brazilian is still one of the best keepers in the league with eight clean sheets for the season but he's just in a very bad stretch of games right now. The Hornets are hosting the Spurs and the Citizens in succession to make Gomes a very unappealing fantasy choice over the next week.

Gomes made four saves while keeping a clean sheet in Sunday's 3-0 victory over Liverpool.

By the 15th minute, Watford held a 2-0 lead and were in cruise control. This is the third straight clean sheet for Gomes and his eighth of the season in 17 matches, which leads the Premier League above bigger names such as Joe Hart, Petr Cech and David de Gea.

Gomes tallied three saves en route to a clean sheet and away 1-0 victory over Sunderland on Saturday.

The Brazilian was fantastic making some brilliant saves to protect the minimal lead and give his team a huge away victory. The Black Cats picked the tempo and increased immensely the pressure, at the end, pushing for the equalizer. Gomes’ positioning and control of his penalty area was tremendous, though, in critical times for the Hornets. Rocky holidays are coming up for the keeper, however, with Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham and Man City in the queue over the next couple of weeks.

Gomes made a save and three claims on the way to a clean sheet and a 2-0 home win over Norwich on Saturday.

The Brazilian, quietly, has been having quite the season. This was his sixth clean sheet and he's had a total of 45 saves to go along with only 16 goals conceded. Additionally the 10 non-losses for the Hornets make him a pretty decent fantasy option which would, probably, come on the fairly cheap in most formats. He's facing, however, a finding-a-rhythm Sunderland on Saturday in a tricky match-up.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gomes (head) is starting Saturday against Norwich City.

Gomes suffered what appeared to be a serious head injury last weekend against Aston Villa, but he was given the all clear to return and apparently passed a late fitness test to start Saturday against a fairly weak Norwich attack.
