Schwarzer is in danger of losing the starting goalkeeper job with the news that Kasper Schmeichel is ready to return from his foot injury.

Schmeichel has been out since December with a broken foot and Schwarzer has filled in admirably, but Schmeichel is Leicester's first-choice 'keeper when fully fit. Keep an eye out for the official starting lineups ahead of this weekend's match versus Hull City.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Schwarzer is starting against Manchester United on Saturday.

Schwarzer gets the call ahead of Ben Hamer, who was sent to the bench. It's a very tough matchup, as the Foxes head into Old Trafford to face one of the best offensive attacks in the league.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Schwarzer signed on a free transfer from Chelsea, where he was stuck behind Thibaut Courtois and Petr Cech on the depth chart. It's unlikely that he grabs hold of the starting job, which is currently being held by Ben Hamer, with Kasper Schmeichel out with a foot injury.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Schwarzer signed a new one-year contract with Chelsea on Tuesday, the club's official web site reports.

Schwarzer played last season on a one-year contract, and he'll return to his role as the top backup in goal. However, it is unclear who will be the No. 1, as Petr Cech is expected to recover from his shoulder injury and Thibault Courtois has been told he will remain with Chelsea this season instead of going out on another loan to Atletico Madrid.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Schwarzer was on the release list submitted by Chelsea to the Premier League on Friday, reports.

Schwarzer has long been Petr Cech's backup, and he was forced into action late in the season when Cech suffered a separated shoulder in the first leg of the Champions League semifinal against Atletico Madrid. Schwarzer became the oldest player to appear in a Champions League game, and it is unclear if Chelsea have any intention of bringing him back.

Schwarzer made three saves during Chelsea's scoreless draw with Norwich City on Sunday.

Schwarzer has now recorded a clean sheet in back-to-back matches, making 11 saves in that time. He'll head into the season's final weekend with a great shot at making it three in a row, as Chelsea travel to face Cardiff City.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Schwarzer made eight saves during Chelsea's 2-0 win over Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday.

Starting in place of the injured Petr Cech (shoulder), Schwarzer had one of the best games of his long career, keeping Chelsea in the title hunt on the home turf of the presumed favorites. He is fully expected to start Tuesday's Champions League match against Atletico Madrid, but he could be rested for next weekend's Premier League match against Norwich City.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Schwarzer started Saturday's Premier League match against Sunderland and made only one save in a shocking 1-2 defeat at Stamford Bridge.

With Chelsea playing Tuesday against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League semifinal and then against Liverpool at Anfield the following weekend, manager Jose Mourinho decided to give regular keeper Petr Cech the day off. That came back to bite him, as Schwarzer and the Chelsea defense could not keep Sunderland at bay. Schwarzer is a solid goalkeeper in his own right, but he's nowhere near on the level of Cech, or Thibault Courtois, who is on loan at Atletico this season.
