Gomez scored for the second straight game in Sunday's 3-0 win over Slovakia. Gomez was effective as the striker up front for Germany as he also drew a penalty kick.

Gomez has two goals for the tournament, but will have his toughest test yet, going against the back line of either Italy or Spain next. That meeting could be similar to Germany's 0-0 draw against Poland in group stages.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gomez rattled off five shots and scored the only goal in Tuesday's 1-0 win over Northern Ireland.

The big striker received his first starting nod of the tournament as Germany searched for a more assertive presence up top, and he was on hand to slot home an intelligent pass from Thomas Muller in the 29th minute for the goal that ultimately decided the game. Gomez's presence affords the reigning World champions another dimension when playing balls into the box, and Tuesday's performance should earn him another starting berth in Sunday's knockout phase fixture versus the third-place finisher from Group A, B or F.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gomez rattled off five shots, provided one assist and scored his 13th league goal of the season in Sunday's 4-0 thrashing of Konyaspor.

The German has been on fire of late, as he now has six goals and two assist in his last seven matches in all competitions. Gomez appears unlikely to return to Fiorentina and has been linked to several other clubs around Europe, who have undoubtedly taken note of his recent form, so he could very well be on the move before the Turkish League resumes on Jan. 17.

Gomez has moved to the Turkish side Besiktas on loan, Fiorentina has official announced.

Gomez looked good in the preseason in the United States. His move could mean someone else is coming in or more playing time for Federico Bernardeschi.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gomez had another down season for Fiorentina, as he managed just 10 goals and two assists in 32 appearances.

After a prolific career at Bayern Munich, the German has managed just 15 goals combined in two seasons for La Viola. The club is rumored to be interested in offloading the 29-year-old, who has been linked with a host of other clubs around Europe, so it likely he will be wearing a different uniform next season.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gomez was great versus Udniese on Sunday, taking four shots and scoring twice in a 2-2 draw.

After an extremely slow start to the season Gomez has caught fire, with eight of his nine goals on the year coming in his last eight games. Gomez will look to continue his fine form in Fiorentina's April 4 match versus Sampdoria.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gomez, who scored during Fiorentina's victory over Tottenham in the Europa League on Thursday, was rested for Sunday's match against Inter Milan, Bild reports.

Gomez has dealt with a serious of injuries over the past few years, so he doesn't get nearly as much consistent playing time as he used to. While he's a decent fantasy option when he's on the field, he's just too inconsistent to rely upon in nearly all formats.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Gomez took four shots, but none landed on goal, during Fiorentina's 2-1 win over Chievo on Sunday.

Gomez continues to be very limited offensively this season, as his one goal and one assist this season both came Nov. 30 against Cagliari. He had four shots on goal during Fiorentina's 1-0 loss at Parma on Jan. 6, but otherwise he rarely records multiple shots on target, making him a fairly weak fantasy option.
