Keane is not expected to play Wednesday against Real Salt Lake because of his groin injury, the team's official website reports.

Keane scored in two of the first three games of the season, but has missed the last four games due to the groin ailment. The Galaxy are undefeated in that span (two wins), giving them little reason to rush last year's MVP back, especially so early in the season. His next opportunity to play will come Saturday at FC Dallas.

Keane scored for the first time this season in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Real Salt Lake.

Keane is a very solid option at the forward position. When Landon Donovan is on the field, he and Keane link up very, very well.
