Keane (knee) participated in training Tuesday, Kevin Baxter of the L.A. Times reports.

Keane has missed four straight games with the injury, but him practicing is a good sign that he may be returning soon. He could possibly be back for Sunday's game against Kansas City, but will likely need to get back to match fitness before he is put back into the starting lineup.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Keane had surgery on his right knee Thursday and will be out 4-to-6 weeks.

This is a brutal blow to a Galaxy offense that's had trouble scoring in two of their three games (including the CONCACAF Champions League) this spring. They'll be asking for more from Gyasi Zardes while Keane is out.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Keane has been ruled out for two international matches with Ireland because of a knee injury, and he is reportedly concerned about the issue, Ireland coach Martin O'Neill tells the Irish Independent.

It is unclear if Keane will undergo scans in Ireland or back in Los Angeles, but any absence would surely be a blow to the Galaxy's attack, which has already had to play without Giovani Dos Santos due to injury.

Keane tells MLSSoccer.com he is unhappy with the recent numbers of touches he's seen playing in the unfamiliar role of advanced striker with the L.A. Galaxy.

Injuries to Giovani Dos Santos and Steven Gerrard certainly serve as contributing factors to Keane's decline in time with the ball, and he is clearly struggling to produce in the limited space in which his current position allows him to operate. That being said, he's still one of the best goal scorers in the league, which makes him a weekly fantasy consideration.

Keane was productive per usual Sunday against the Sounders as he was able to score a goal and help out with an assist during his 90 minutes on the field.

Keane normally leads the Galaxy's attack as the foremost striker in the formation but he was joined by Giovani Dos Santos on Sunday and both players came away with fruitful outings. There's some obvious skepticism that Keane's production will take a hit with the addition of a parallel striker, but Sunday's game suggests otherwise as the tandem's presence on the field opened up opportunities for the both of them.

Keane took two shots and ultimately scored a goal during Saturday's 3-1 win over the Rapids.

Keane scored on a sloppy breakaway which was assisted by Steven Gerrard during added time once the game was already in hand. The Irishman now has 10 goals on the season and most importantly shook off his recent shoulder injury that kept him out of the All-Star Game.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Keane (shoulder) will start in Saturday's game against the Rapids.

A minor shoulder issue kept Keane out of Wednesday's All-Star Game but apparently it's not severe enough to keep him off the field for the Galaxy moving forward.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Keane will not play in the All-Star Game on Wednesday because of a shoulder injury, but he could return Saturday to face the Rapids, manager Bruce Arena said Wednesday.

Keane has pulled out of the All-Star Game three years in a row, so it wasn't overly surprising to see him pop up with an injury just days before the exhibition against Tottenham. With the injury not considered serious, Keane is likely to start Saturday and remains an elite fantasy option.
