Ramsey was brought on in the 63rd minute of Saturday's win over Burnley.

Ramsey has been limited to substitute appearances in Arsenal's past two league games, as he builds sharpness following a hamstring-induced sideline spell. The Welshman's introduction Saturday sparked a bit more creativity for Arsenal, as all three of the Gunners' goals came after Ramsey took the pitch.

Ramsey was introduced as an 88th minute substitute in Saturday's 2-0 victory over Sunderland.

Ramsey is edging closer to full fitness following a hamstring injury, but his services weren't really needed to secure three points Saturday. Instead, Ramsey was simply brought on late to preserve Arsenal's road win. Nonetheless, the Welshman is expected to be back in the Gunners' starting lineup soon, with Saturday against Burnely a likely possibility.

Ramsey (hamstring) was a surprise substitute in Saturday's 2-2 draw with Hull City, selected in the 63rd minute.

Ramsey's game showed understandable rust during his 33 minutes of run, but this served as a good warm-up for his expected Champions League start Wednesday against Anderlecht.

Ramsey will return to first team training Monday and will be in the squad for Arsenal's Champions League match against Anderlecht on Wednesday, manager Arsene Wenger said Thursday.

While Ramsey will not play Saturday against Hull City, it's certainly a big boost that he'll return for their Champions League match, as there was a belief he would be sidelined until November.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said Thursday that Ramsey (hamstring) is expected to return to training next week, though he did not give a timeline for when he would play in matches again.

Wenger gave a three-week timeframe after Ramsey suffered the injury against Spurs on Sept. 27, but it looks like it'll be longer than that if the three weeks was his return to training. Arsenal have been hit hard by injuries, particularly in the midfield, so Ramsey's return will be a huge boost when it happens.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said Tuesday that Ramsey could return in three weeks from the hamstring injury he suffered last Saturday against Tottenham. "To be generous with time, let's say four weeks. If all goes well, three. After the international break hopefully he will not be far away," Wenger said.

The initial estimate was that Ramsey was going to miss six weeks, so it's certainly welcome news that it could be half that. If that timetable is true, Ramsey could return as soon as Oct. 18 against Hull City.

Ramsey could be sidelined for up to six weeks due to the Grade 2 hamstring strain he suffered Saturday against Tottenham, Goal.com reports.

Ramsey missed a good portion of last season with a thigh injury, and while he isn't scoring as much as he did last season, he's still a vital piece of the Arsenal attack. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will likely need to take on a bigger piece of the scoring load with Ramsey sidelined, as Jack Wilshere is battling an ankle injury of his own.
