Ramsey is expected to be sidelined for at least two weeks with his hamstring injury, manager Arsene Wenger confirmed Friday.

Wenger described it as "not a majority injury, it's a Grade One," which has given the club optimism that Ramsey won't be sidelined for long. There are a number of lineup options, though it looks like Tomas Rosicky could get the first shot to start alongside Francis Coquelin in the defensive midfield slots.

Ramsey suffered a hamstring injury during Tuesday's match against Leicester City, manager Arsene Wenger confirmed after the game.

Ramsey came on as a second-half substitute but could even last 15 minutes before coming off. It's his third hamstring injury of the season, and Wenger noted that he'll have to be even more cautious with him as the season progresses.

Ramsey (hamstring) was available off the bench for Sunday's match against Stoke City, but he went unused.

Arsenal had to use a substitute early in the match when Mathieu Debuchy suffered a dislocated shoulder, and with Mesut Ozil (knee) and Theo Walcott getting the attack subs, Ramsey was left on the bench. Given the unfortunate defensive injury, Ramsey's return to the starting XI will likely be pushed back.

Ramsey (hamstring) is available off the bench for Sunday's match against Stoke City.

Ramsey suffered his hamstring injury Dec. 9 against Galatasaray, and he was in excellent form when it happens, with two goals and an assist in his previous two games. After a decent layoff, and his long injury history, manager Arsene Wenger will likely ease Ramsey back in slowly, with no guarantee that he'll start next Sunday at Manchester City.

Manager Arsene Wenger confirmed Friday that Ramsey (hamstring) is back in training and could be available for Sunday's match against Stoke City.

Ramsey was in excellent form just before going down with the injury Dec. 9 against Galatasaray, a match in which he had two goals and an assist. After such a long layoff, it's unlikely he starts right away, but his return will be a huge boost to the Gunners, as will Mesut Ozil's from his knee injury.

Manager Arsene Wenger said Tuesday that Ramsey (hamstring) has a shot to be fit for Arsenal's Premier League match against Southampton on New Year's Day.

Ramsey was in excellent form before he suffered the hamstring injury against Galatasaray in the Champions League on Dec. 9, scoring three goals and assisting on two others in three matches. He started picking up his shot attempts, which will certainly help in most goal-scoring opportunities.

Ramsey is expected to miss the next four weeks with a hamstring injury after scoring against Galatasaray earlier in the week, reports the Daily Mail.

The midfielder is expected to miss a number of games through the holiday period, and is bad news for Arsenal who are also missing Jack Wilshere.
