Crouch was introduced late in Sunday's win over Liverpool, but still managed to score an 86th minute goal to punctuate Stoke's 6-1 victory.

Crouch unsurprisingly scored Stoke's final goal with a header in the penalty box, which brought his season tally to eight league goals this term. While that exceeded the seven goals he supplied in both of the previous two seasons, Crouch made just 17 starts this season, representing a sizable drop-off from his usual involvement. At 34 years old, the lanky forward is still able to put his stamp on certain matches, but Crouch cannot be relied upon to start on a weekly basis anymore.

Crouch was introduced as an 82nd minute substitute and subsequently scored a 90th minute header to secure a 1-1 draw at Newcastle on Sunday.

Crouch began Sunday's match on the bench in wake of teammate Jonathan Walters coming off a hat-trick last weekend, but by finding the back of the net himself Sunday, Crouch could be in contention for a start Wednesday versus Manchester City. Regardless, Crouch's latest goal brought him level with fellow striker Mame Diouf with five in the league this season, ranking only behind Walters for Stoke's team lead of seven.

Crouch picked up an assist on Ryan Shawcross' second-minute goal during Stoke City's 1-1 draw with Manchester United on Thursday.

Crouch sent a header toward goal and Shawcross accurately redirected it beyond United keeper David de Gea, allowing Crouch to grab his second assist of the season. Crouch continues to be a solidly placed starter and he could be handed more of the scoring load if Bojan has to miss any additional time with his hamstring injury.

Crouch scored a team-high eight goals to go with five assists in 34 Premiership appearances for Stoke City this season.

Crouch's return slightly improves on last season's haul of seven goals and four assists. At 33 years old, Crouch still uses his towering height to threaten defenses. Although Stoke could use some youth up front, Crouch figures to be the Potters' target-man once again next season.
