The Reds' plan to play Mesoraco (hip) in the outfield has been put on hold, with Delino DeShields, the manager of Triple-A Louisville, saying he doesn't expect Mesoraco to get any better while trying to play through the injury, the Cincinnati Enquirer reports. "[Mesoraco]'s not going to be the player they want him to be with a bad hip," DeShields said Sunday. "I don't care where you put him. The main thing for him, right now, is to get healthy. It's obvious, to me, that he's injured, and he's not going to get better. It was even hurting him on his swings the other night in Columbus."
