Doughty logged four scoreless innings in his most recent outing Aug. 15 and had been on a bit of a roll, accruing a 0.51 ERA, 0.68 WHIP and 25:0 K:BB in 17.2 innings across his past four starts.The No. 36 overall pick in the 2024 First-Year Player Draft, Doughty had an excellent first season in professional ball. The 6-foot-1 righty amassed a 3.48 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 99 strikeouts in 85.1 innings across 22 starts with Lynchburg. It's possible the inflammation will subside over the offseason, but Doughty's status will be worth monitoring when he reports to spring training in 2026.
