FanDuel NBA: Friday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Friday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

There are plenty of options to choose from in Friday's 10-game slate, with Knicks at Clippers and Thunder at Suns looking to have some nice value plays, each with a pair of players featured below.

Point Guard

Trey Burke, NYK at LAC ($5,400)
Though the Clippers haven't been susceptible to point guards lately, allowing the 17th most fantasy points to the position over the past 10 games, Burke has outpaced his price with ease since the All-Star break. Over the Knicks' first three games since the break, Burke was priced at $3,500, $4,100 and $4,900, respectively, and finished with 44.8, 40.0 and 31.7 fantasy points. While his production has been decreasing, it's worth noting that the past two games were against the Celtics and Warriors -- two great defensive squads -- while the first contest came against Orlando. It'll be tougher to fit him in your lineup Friday as his price continues to rise, but it appears he'll probably be worth the investment.

Shooting Guard

Louis Williams, LAC vs. NYK ($8,000)
Williams most recently put up a 20.7-fantasy-point dud against the Rockets, who sit atop the Western Conference standings, on Wednesday. He should have a smoother time against the struggling Knicks, who have resorted to pulling back the minutes of their veterans in the wake of Kristaps Porzingis' season-ending ACL tear. That, in part, has led to New York allowing the 11th-most fantasy points to shooting guards over the past 10 contests, including the second-most steals and third-highest field-goal percentage. In the five games prior to Wednesday's underwhelming effort, Williams had averaged 39.7 fantasy points on the back of 24.0 points, 6.4 assists, 2.6 rebounds and 1.6 steals.

Small Forward

Paul George, OKC at PHO ($8,700)
George has been a top-tier fantasy player over the past 18 games, averaging 43.5 fantasy points by way of 26.9 points, 5.7 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 2.0 steals. Subtracting his poor outing of 20.5 fantasy points against Golden State on Saturday, George is posting 48.1 fantasy points over the past nine outings. He'll be taking that momentum into Friday's contest against the struggling Suns, who have lost nine of their past 10 games. Though the Suns have been stingy against small forwards during that stretch, allowing the eighth-fewest fantasy points to the position, they only small forward near George's caliber they've had to face is Kevin Durant, who cruised to 17 points, seven rebounds, six dimes and two blocks on 8-of-9 shooting during the 129-83 blowout.

Power Forward

Dwight Powell, DAL at CHI ($5,600)
Over the past 10 games, the big man has averaged 14.2 points, 8.4 rebounds, 2.1 assists and a combined 1.4 steals/blocks (30.6 fantasy points) in 29.1 minutes. His most recent performance was his best of the season, as he logged 42.1 fantasy points against the Thunder on Wednesday via 21 points, eight boards, three assists and three steals in 37 minutes. He should be able to take advantage of the reeling Bulls, who haven't been playing great against big men, allowing the 13th most fantasy points over the past 10 games to both power forwards and centers. In early January when these two teams faced off, Powell needed just 27 minutes to put up 24.9 fantasy points.

Center

Steven Adams, OKC at PHO ($7,300)
Adams, who averages 31.6 fantasy points per game, doesn't have a particularly high ceiling, with a season high of 51.9 fantasy points coming when he played 42 minutes in a non-overtime game against Cleveland. But he'll be in a good position to succeed Friday. He'll walk into the matchup coming off four strong outings where he's averaged 36.9 fantasy points, including an matchup against the Kings in which he dropped 49.7 fantasy points in 39 minutes. Adams also had success against Phoenix in the teams' earlier matchup this the season, needing just 32 minutes to provide 34.5 fantasy points. Furthermore, the Suns have allowed the second-most fantasy points to the position over the past 10 games, including the most blocks.
