2025 Projections
2025 Fantasy Outlook
For his long-term projection, Egbuka did well to land in Tampa Bay with the 19th overall pick, joining a franchise with a solid quarterback and a strong recent track record of success and production. Egbuka's Year 1 fantasy projection is also on the up and up, with Chris Godwin (ankle) missing all of training camp and Jalen McMillan (neck) expected to miss at least the first month of the regular season. Like his new teammates in Tampa's talented WR room, Egbuka is no burner, having run a 4.45 40 at his pro day after averaging 14.0 yards per catch on a school-record 205 receptions at Ohio State, where he played more than two-thirds of his snaps from the slot. At 6-foot-1, 202, Egbuka won't necessarily be limited to the slot in the NFL, potentially offering inside-out versatility (like Godwin). Reports from training camp had been glowing even before Godwin's prolonged absence and McMillan's injury gave Egbuka a clearer path to the No. 2 WR role in Week 1. Read Past Outlooks

Moving up depth chart
Egubka's teammate Jalen McMillan (neck) is expected to miss a large portion of the upcoming season, Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
ANALYSIS
Chris Godwin, meanwhile, remains on the PUP list, yet to practice since suffering an ankle dislocation and ligament damage last October. With Godwin uncertain for Week 1 and McMillan presumably out, Egbuka may step right in as Tampa Bay's No. 2 receiver alongside Mike Evans. The 19th overall pick has taken plenty of first-team reps this summer, including during Saturday's 17-14 preseason win over the Steelers.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Continues drawing praise
Offensive coordinator Josh Grizzard and veteran teammates have praised Egbuka for his professionalism and ability to pick up Tampa Bay's offense, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Quarterback Baker Mayfield praised Egbuka early in camp, and the hype for the rookie wideout continues to grow. His ability to process the scheme quickly and then apply that knowledge by getting open during practice has been impressive, while Mike Evans called Egbuka a true professional. The Bucs are getting increasingly comfortable with the idea of Egbuka working as a starter if Chris Godwin isn't ready for Week 1 while rehabbing an ankle injury.
