Craig started 27 times among 58 appearances for the Nuggets during the pandemic-shortened 2019-20 season, averaging 5.4 points with 3.3 rebounds across 18.5 minutes per game. The third-year wing posted career bests in both field-goal percentage (46.1) and three-point percentage (32.6). Craig filled the scoresheet in the season opener Oct. 3, when he netted 10 points with six rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block against Portland. He went on to post double-digit points on 12 occasions, including a pair of double-doubles. On Jan. 24, Craig went for 15 points and 10 rebounds in a win at New Orleans. Six days later, Jan. 30 during a win at Utah, he put up 13 points and 10 boards. Craig's biggest offensive performance came Mar. 1 against Toronto, when he scored 17 points on 7-of-11 shooting, adding three rebounds and a steal. He went on to appear in all 19 playoff games for Denver, starting three times. In one of those starts, Game 1 of the first round against the Jazz, Craig scored 11 points with four rebounds, marking his highest offensive output of the postseason.
2018
Torrey Craig was a regular in Denver's lineup throughout the 2018-19 season. He played in 78 games, starting 37 of them. Craig also averaged an even 20 minutes a night, a nice boost from his rookie season's 16 minutes per contest. Craig also improved his work from the charity stripe, raising his free throw accuracy to 70 percent. During a home win over Miami on Jan. 8, Craig delivered his first career double-double with 16 rebounds and 11 points. On Feb. 1, the 6-foot-6 wing scored a career-high 22 points in a home win over Houston. Craig had seven games with two or more made three pointers and eight games with two or more steals. Craig's role continued to grow during the playoffs. He started in 11 of 14 post-season games, receiving 24 minutes of run per night. Craig has one more year remaining on his contract with the Nuggets.
2017
As a 27-year-old rookie during the 2017-18 campaign, Torrey Craig played 39 games with the Denver Nuggets and another 15 G-League games with the Sioux Falls Skyforce. His scoring ability was on full display during his time in the G-League. He averaged 22.9 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 3.5 assists on 47.7 percent shooting. He also averaged two blocks and 38.6 percent shooting from behind the three-point line. At the NBA level, Craig still shot an efficient 45.3 percent while averaging 4.2 points and 3.3 rebounds. He posted back-to-back double-digit scoring games in December. This included his season-high 14 points against the Oklahoma City Thunder, where he made his five shot attempts, including 3-3 on threes. Craig recorded a season-high eight rebounds on April 1 against the Milwaukee Bucks. In his five NBA starts, the South Carolina native averaged 9.2 points and 4.8 assists while shooting over 59 percent.
