McDowell carded a five-under 66 in the final round at LIV Golf Indianapolis to finish tied for 14th and end the regular season 34th in the individual standings with 39.77 points.

McDowell finished T35 or worse in each of the last four LIV Golf tournaments heading into Indianapolis, but he surged into the top-15 at Chatham Hills after going 10-under over the final two rounds. It was an overall inconsistent season for McDowell, who failed to accrue points in seven of 17 LIV tournaments, with a large chunk of his points coming from his T2 performance in Virginia in early June. McDowell will represent the eighth-seeded Smash GC team of Jason Kokrak, Andalucia winner Talor Gooch and captain Brooks Koepka at the LIV Golf Team Championship in Michigan this weekend.
