Mickelson and his HyFlyers GC team of Brendan Steele, Cameron Tringale and Andy Ogletree finished tied with Crushers GC for seventh at the LIV Golf Team Championship.

Expectations weren't high for Mickelson and the HyFlyers as they entered the tournament as the 12th seed after just one podium finish (third at LIV Golf Adelaide) for the season. However, despite Joaquin Niemann defeating Ogletree in the singles match, the HyFlyers were able to advance to the semifinals after Mickelson and Steele defeated Mito Pereira and Carlos Ortiz in the foursome match while Tringale took down Sebastian Munoz. The HyFlyers weren't able to carry that momentum into the semifinals, however, as they lost 2-1 to Tyrrell Hatton and Legion XIII. It was a somewhat positive ending to an otherwise disappointing season for Mickelson, who barely avoided relegation by finishing 46th in the individual standings with just 12.21 points.
