First top-10 of season
June 10, 2018
Goosen closed with a bogey-free four-under 66 to finish in a tie for sixth place at the FedEx St. Jude Classic.
ANALYSIS
Goosen had a very solid ball striking week in Memphis, as he ranked top-10 in SG: Off-the-tee, fairways hit, and greens hit in regulation. It helped him to record his first top-10 since he finished T2 at the Puerto Rico Open last season. This is however his third top-20 in his last three starts. Despite being the victor the last time the U.S. Open was held at Shinnecock Hills, the USGA did not give Goosen an invite this time around, so he will not play next week.
