He ranked third in the field in GIR, seventh in par-3 scoring and in the top-25 in par-4 scoring, SG: Off-the-Tee, SG: Tee-to-Green and SG: Approach-the-Green. It was van Velzen's first top-20 finish on the DP World Tour this season and he'll be on home soil next week at the Investec South African Open Championship, where he finished T2 in 2024 before missing the cut in 2025.
