Lovelady closed with a four-under 68 on a Monday finish at the Barbasol Championship, but ended up just one stroke short of forcing a playoff.
ANALYSIS
Lovelady started the final round tied for the lead with a host of others. On a rain soaked golf course the players were free to throw darts and fire low scores. Lovelady made an eagle and three birdies on the four par-5's in the final round, but made a bogey and 13 pars on the other holes. He led the field this week in both driving distance and SG: Around-the-green. Lovelady was outside the top-30 in SG: Putting and putts per GIR, which isn't bad, but usually to win guys have much better putting numbers. He will be back at it next week for the RBC Canadian Open.
