The RotoWire Blog has been retired.

These archives exist as a way for people to continue to view the content that had been posted on the blog over the years.

Articles will no longer be posted here, but you can view new fantasy articles from our writers on the main site.

Beat the Writers

The Rotowire Staff Football League is auctioning tomorrow night at 6pm EST.  It's a standard format, H2H, 14 teams.  Several of our featured NFL writers are in the league, including Jeff Erickson (who writes Value Meter), Dalton Del Don (who writes NFL Barometer), Scott Pianowski (who co-authors Breakfast Table), myself (Working the Wire), and several other intelligent writers.  However, we have two openings left.  Rather than having two more RW writers join, we're opening up the two empty spots to subscribers.  Hence, this is your chance to "Beat the Writers."  Here are the qualifications:

You must:

1.  Have been a Rotowire subscriber for at least the past six months.

2.  Be able to auction Tuesday, Sept. 1 starting at 6pm EST.  As it's a 14-team auction, you need to plan on it taking all evening.   As it's an on-line auction, you must have a reliable computer, too.

3.  Post a comment in response to this blog providing your email address.

4.  Have an ESPN log-in and an AIM.  (We are using ESPN to do the auction, and if there are technical problems, we will switch to AIM).

5.  Be willing to have the auction results posted openly in a blog (such as this one) at any time during the season.

At noon EST on Tuesday, Sept. 1, I will randomly choose two subscribers who have posted comments to join the league.  I will announce the winners in a comment to this blog (and via email to those owners).

Only one comment/submission per subscriber, please.  And please don't post a comment unless you are interested in auctioning with us (as that will make it easier for me to know who is asking to be thrown into the randow draw).

Thanks, and good luck.

Mark
