Pryor vs. Forcier

We've had a vigorous discussion comparing the merits of Terrelle Pryor and Tate Forcier in our staff forum, in light of their respective performances on Saturday.

Setting aside the quality of the defenses that each faced on Saturday, there's another big issue. That's the playcalling and offensive schemes that each quarterback gets to work with. A new blog post on Dr. Saturday's blog on Yahoo (a must read if you're a college football fanatic) suggests that Jim Tressel didn't just get outcoached by Pete Carroll, but that he was badly overmatched.

Trying to excerpt from it doesn't do it justice, but in short, many of the Buckeyes' offensive plays had no chance to work, merely by virtue of how they were aligned. As they say in blog-land, read the whole thing. It's really enlightening.
