Friday NFL Recap

- Mark Ingram says there's nothing wrong with his knee. He's prepared to play in Sunday night's game against Oakland so this looks like good news here. I'm personally very high on Ingram this year as I expect him to get the bulk of work in the New Orleans' backfield. Yes, Sean Payton likes to mess with fantasy owners but I think Ingram's performance will make it hard for there to be a 50/50 timeshare.

- James Starks appears to be winning the featured back gig in Green Bay. Making me eat my words from a few days ago, there seems to be a growing consensus that James Starks has performed much better than Ryan Grant during camp. While Grant was obviously hurt last year, remember that Starks has a checkered injury history himself.

- Lance Moore is dealing with a groin injury. Moore will miss Sunday's game and was enjoying a solid camp before this problem arose. It doesn't sound too significant so he should be a nice late round pick in PPR leagues.

- Kyle Williams signed a new deal with the Buffalo Bills. Last year he was the perfect example of a good player on a bad defensive unit. Along with rookie Marcell Dareus the Bills should have a much improved run defense this season.

- Cleveland has been hit by the injury bug. Brandon Jackson could miss up to six weeks with a toe injury while Left guard Eric Steinbach is dealing with a back injury that could cost him the whole season. Cleveland has an excellent offensive line and any time missed by Steinbach would obviously not be good.

- Kevin Kolb has been getting nice reviews from the Arizona coaches. Kolb makes for an interesting backup or #2 QB in leagues that start two QBs. That being said, he only has seven starts under his belt and at one point A.J. Feeley looked good in an Eagles uniform.

- It's speculated Aqib Talib will get at least a four game suspension. Talib has quickly fallen into the "knucklehead" category with his off-field transgressions. While he's incredibly talented, why he's anywhere near a shooting is mystifying. Given how they improved with the draft defensively, a focused Talib will improve a team on the rise.

- Ahmad Bradshaw will miss Saturday's game with a back injury. This isn't expected to be a significant injury but he supposedly took a knee to the area where the injury occurred. Until you hear more about this injury, expect that the GMen are being extra cautious with their top RB.

- Greg Jennings did not play in Friday's preseason game. Jennings sustained some type of knee injury that isn't expected to be significant. You probably won't find Jennings on any of my teams given that Jermichael Finley is healthy, James Jones is back and Jordy Nelson is still on the roster. I'd be shocked to see Jennings duplicate last year's numbers.
