Tuesday's Notes

- Chris Paul, will he stay or will he go? While Paul has publicly stated that he wishes to stay where his heart is in New Orleans, there are reports swirling that his first choice is to join Carmelo Anthony and Amar'e Stoudemire in New York to form the Northeast version of the "Big Three." There'll be more to come in the next two weeks.

- Brandon Roy update: The Blazers are expected to use their amnesty cut on Roy making him a free agent. It's hard to recommend him outside of anything other than a late-round lottery ticket considering the history of his knees. Someone may use a middle round pick to take him if he lands in a favorable spot based on his brand name; don't let that be you.

- Deron Williams has Tweeted he's headed back stateside and done playing abroad. The NJ Net showed no ill effects of his wrist injury while playing for Besiktas and has an opt-out cause making him a free agent after this season if he doesn't sign an extension with the Nets.

- Timofey "The Timmeh of the NBA" Mozgov could find himself in a starting role for the Nuggets. There are a few points of interest here as he could be a nice sleeper if he gets starter's minutes. First off, playing since July means he should be in excellent physical condition. In turn though, if he gets off to a hot start, he's a player that you'll want to sell-high on. It's hard to imagine him holding up physically over the course of the full season even though it's shortened since he's been playing since July. Mozgov displayed some upside over a two-week period at the end of Jan – early Feb last season which included a 23-point, 14 rebound effort against the Pistons. This news coincides with the belief that Nene Hilario will be playing somewhere else besides Denver for the upcoming season. There are reports that up to six teams are interested in his services, the most interesting being the Miami Heat.

- Yahoo is reporting that the Chinese Basketball Association is not about to let their American players leave without a fight. They contend escape clauses will not be allowed and that the Americans would have to remain in China until the season ends in March. The four players of biggest note that would affect are Kenyon Martin, J.R. Smith, Wilson Chandler and Aaron Brooks. If the Americans are not allowed to leave there is the possibility of calling in John Rambo and/or Colonel James Braddock.

- The Chicago Tribune reports that Carlos Boozer is over his turf toe injury and ready for the upcoming season. Boozer added he looks forward to silencing his haters after a subpar performance in the playoffs.

- In totally non-related fantasy news (it was a rather slow day), Yao Ming will be releasing his own wine in the United States next year. You can fork over $170 to taste the Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon; keep in mind you can also grab a bottle of  Dom Perignon for the same price.
