Knee
November 4, 2019
Yetna will miss the 2019-20 season due to a left knee injury he suffered during practice at the end of last week, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
The announcement of Yetna's injury is major news for the Bulls and for the American Conference as a whole. Yetna was widely regarded as the top returning post player in the conference heading into this season. The sophomore power forward averaged 12.3 points and 9.6 rebounds in just over 30 minutes per game last year. The Bulls had a great opportunity to make some noise, not just in their conference but around the country this season, but without Yetna presence, that may no longer be in the discussion. He will have surgery later this week and will now take this year as a redshirt and have three more years of eligibility with the program beginning in the 2020-21 season.
