Leaving school for NBA
Carter (ankle) said Wednesday that he will sign with an agent and give up his remaining eligibility at Providence to enter the 2024 NBA Draft, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
As a junior in 2023-24, the 6-foot-3 guard appeared in 33 games, averaging 19.7 points, 8.7 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 2.5 three-pointers,1.8 steals and 1.0 blocks in 35.2 minutes per game. Carter had little left to prove in the college ranks and turned 22 years old in March, so his decision to head to the NBA comes as little surprise.
