Commits to Kansas State
McDaniel announced his commitment to Kansas State on Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
According to Nick Girimonte of Sports Illustrated, McDaniel only visited TCU and Kansas State before announcing his K-State commitment. It continues "a trend of small transfer guards" the team has recruited yearly since Jerome Tang became its head coach. They include Markquis Nowell (5-foot-8) and Tylor Perry (5-foot-11), both Kansas State's best scorer as redshirt seniors. McDaniel has at least some potential to accomplish the aforementioned feat during his junior year. The sophomore's second season included an average of 16.3 points, better than that of a senior Perry.
