Garbers notched a win in his final collegiate game with the Bruins. The graduate senior threw his lone passing touchdown of the game when he hit wideout J. Michael Sturdivant for a two-yard score with just under two minutes remaining, which also put UCLA ahead 20-10 to secure this win. Garbers turned things around down the stretch of the regular season, as he had nine interceptions and only four touchdowns in his first five games before logging 12 touchdowns and only two picks in his final six games. UCLA finishes the season at 5-7, so the team will not have an opportunity to compete in a bowl game this coming postseason.
