There are workhorse running backs, and then there’s Walker. The Hilltoppers running back carried the ball 241 times last season. No other Western Kentucky back had more than nine carries. The only other Hilltopper with double-digit carries was Ty Storey, a quarterback. One assumed Western Kentucky will try and give Walker more of a breather this year, but he will still be the top back for the Hilltoppers. Fantasy owners will hope all those touches can lead to slightly better numbers, though. Despite all the action Walker had just 1,208 yards and eight touchdowns. Those are good stats, but they don’t really wow you either.
