Rex has been a productive tight end for the Cougars since the moment he stepped on campus. In fact, his freshman season was his most productive, with 37 catches for 429 yards and 12 touchdowns. He never replicated those numbers in the ensuing seasons of his career, but he was a consistent force for BYU for four straight seasons. His consistency and pedigree as a pass-catcher will undoubtably have some NFL franchises intrigued.

2022 Fantasy Outlook
Rex has been the star tight end for BYU the last two seasons, and is expected to be the top player in this position once again. In his third season with the team, Rex ended with 191 receiving yards, 18 receptions and 3 touchdowns. While Rex did have 238 more yards in the season prior, this can be attributed to the return of fellow tight end Dallin Holker who accumulated 200 yards of his own. It is important to note that Rex underwent season-ending ankle surgery in December, but he is recovering well and is expected to be ready for fall camp and will likely be 100% at the start of the season.
