Morris announced Wednesday that he has committed to Maryland, joining the program as a transfer from NC State, Hayes Fawcett of On3.com reports.
ANALYSIS
At Maryland, Morris should get the chance to succeed the outgoing Taulia Tagovailoa, who has exhausted his collegiate eligibility and is set to enter the 2024 NFL Draft. Morris will have three years of eligibility remaining after he qualified for a redshirt during his sophomore campaign with NC State in 2023 by virtue of appearing in only four games. Across his two seasons at NC State, Morris completed 115 of 199 passes (57.8 percent) for 1,367 yards, 14 touchdowns and six interceptions while also carrying the ball 81 times for 103 yards and one score.
