Houston Texans
2025 Fantasy Outlook
The Texans will roll out one of the game's best cornerback duos in the NFL. The emergence of Lassiter, a second-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, during his rookie year along with the breakout season of Derek Stingley gives Houston elite defenders at every level. Lassiter, known by teammates as "The Locksmith," was a Week 1 starter and played 14 games while recording 58 tackles with 10 passes defensed and three interceptions. He also had a pick in the postseason. His 77.5 coverage grade ranked 11th among cornerbacks with at least 500 snaps on pass plays. Read Past Outlooks

Lassiter finished the 2024 season with 58 tackles (42 solo) and 10 pass breakups, including three interceptions, across 14 regular-season games.
ANALYSIS
Selected No. 42 overall out of Georgia in the 2024 NFL Draft, Lassiter started all 14 games he appeared in and also logged four tackles for loss, including one safety. Lassiter saw most of his rookie-year action on the right side of the field opposite Derek Stingley, and the two formed one of the league's best cornerback duos. The pair is a foundation for the Houston defense moving forward.

Rookie of the Year candidate
CBHouston Texans
September 3, 2024
Lassiter could be a darkhorse candidate to win Defensive Rookie of the Year, Dan Graziano of ESPN suggests.
ANALYSIS
The Texans selected Lassiter in the second round of April's draft, and he's projected to immediately serve as one of the team's starting cornerbacks. He regularly matched up with Stefon Diggs throughout training camp and was not overmatched. Graziano also points out that teams are likely to throw away from Derek Stingley, creating opportunities for Lassiter to rack up interceptions.
