Rest-of-Season Projections
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Hill topped 1,700 receiving yards his first two years in Miami while leading the league in yards per route both seasons, besting his production from Kansas City despite a downgrade in quarterback play. It all fell apart in 2024, with Hill playing through a wrist injury all year, QB Tua Tagovailoa missing six games, and opposing defensive coordinators seemingly catching up to Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel. Despite playing all 17 games, Hill's targets and receptions dropped by about 30 percent relative to 2022-23, and his yardage sank even further as he slumped to 11.8 yards per reception. He had wrist surgery after the season and otherwise boasts a strong track record of durability, but other contributing factors to his 2024 decline aren't so easily corrected. Tagovailoa's repeated concussions remain at the forefront of any discussion about Miami's offense -- a problem compounded by offensive line struggles last season. The previously explosive offense became a station-to-station operation, relying on quick throws to RB De'Von Achane and TE Jonnu Smith rather than big plays from Hill and Jaylen Waddle. It's possible that gets corrected after Smith was traded in June and replaced by only the formerly retired Darren Waller, and with better injury luck for Tagovailoa and Hill. But the latter is now 31 years old and no longer safely assumed to be in an elite situation for production, which means there's real risk his days as a high-end WR1 are in the rearview mirror. The good news is that Hill isn't a first-round fantasy pick anymore, creating potential for a huge reward if he comes close to his 2022-23 production. Read Past Outlooks
RANKS
Crosses 100-yard mark in loss
Hill brought in six of seven targets for 109 yards and returned one punt for 19 yards in the Dolphins' 33-27 loss to the Patriots on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Hill set the pace for the Dolphins in receiving yards while checking in second in receptions and targets. Hill's day could have been even bigger had Tua Tagovailoa not missed him when he was wide open on a second-half pass, but the fact the talented wideout put together his first 100-yard effort of the campaign was certainly a bright spot during a loss that dropped the Dolphins to 0-2. With Miami desperate for a win, Hill figures to be prominently featured again in a Thursday night Week 3 road matchup against the Bills that is arguably already a critical game for the Dolphins.

Hill is the first player ever with multiple seasons of 1,700 receiving yards, having done it in both of his first two years with the Dolphins. He was on pace for a record-breaking 2,098 yards (and 17 TDs) through Week 13 last season, but then a Week 14 ankle injury cost him part of one game and all of another, derailing his MVP candidacy in the process. Coach Mike McDaniel's offense has proven even more fantasy-friendly than the Reid/Mahomes partnership Hill had in Kansas City, with the wideout playing fewer snaps than other top receivers (43.4 per game last year) but drawing targets on an unprecedented share of his routes. Last year, Hill was targeted on 38.2 percent of routes, putting him miles ahead of second-place Davante Adams (31.5). The year before, Hill was a bit lower at 34.0 percent, though still the NFL leader among players with 400 or more routes. Coming off the field on a semi-regular basis allows the league's fastest player to keep his leagues fresh and exert all his energy on each route he runs. Hill has missed just seven games in eight seasons despite heavy usage, and he doesn't seem to have lost a step ahead of his age-30 campaign, setting him up to again lead one of the league's most explosive offenses alongside QB Tua Tagovailoa and WR Jaylen Waddle.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
No plans on trade for now
Dianna Russini of The Athletic relays that the Dolphins presently don't have any plans to trade Hill.
ANALYSIS
Hill's relationship with the Dolphins seemed to reach an impasse following the team's 2024 regular-season finale against the Jets in January, when he told reporters "it was great playing here, but at the end of the day, I have to do what's best for my career." Although the NFL is currently investigating Hill over allegations of domestic abuse, Russini relays that teams will likely phone Miami over interest in acquiring the 31-year-old wideout if the Dolphins' offense continues to sputter. Hill logged four catches on six targets for 40 yards during the Dolphins' 33-8 loss to the Colts in Week 1.
