2021 Fantasy Outlook
Jones was the fifth QB selected in the first round of this year's draft. He was a highly accurate passer at Alabama, setting an NCAA record for completion percentage (77.4) last season while throwing 41:4 TD:INT. Scouts laud his anticipation and ability to read defenses, but Jones' arm is below average, and he lacks mobility and athleticism. No matter, he won a summer battle against Cam Newton, prompting the Patriots to release their veteran quarterback at the end of the preseason. Jones now enters Week 1 as the starter, with Nelson Agholor, Jakobi Meyers, Hunter Henry, Jonnu Smith and James White serving as his top pass catchers. Read Past Outlooks

Looks comfortable in starting role
QBNew England Patriots
September 12, 2021
Jones completed 29 of his 39 pass attempts for 281 yards and one touchdown in Sunday's Week 1 loss to Miami.
ANALYSIS
Jones appeared comfortable in his first regular-season start as a professional and completed at least one pass to eight different players. He showed a particular connection with Nelson Agholor, as the pair produced gains of 25 and 21 yards as well as a seven-yard touchdown. Though Jones couldn't earn a victory, he led the Patriots to the red zone for a potential game-winning score late in the fourth quarter before Damien Harris lost a fumble to effectively end the contest. Jones will look to build on this performance in a Week 2 matchup against the Jets.
