Andy Borregales

Borregales joined the Patriots as a sixth-round pick last spring and proceeded to miss three kicks in his first two regular-season games, leading to early calls for a veteran replacement. He responded by missing just four kicks over the next 17 games, largely avoiding trouble until the AFC Championship Game in Denver was hit by heavy snow. Borregales got just four attempts from 50-plus yards during the regular season, but he at least made all four of them, perhaps setting the stage for additional long-range volume in the coming years. If nothing else, he seems to have job security for a team that's widely expected to be competitive, and there may even be some fantasy upside if the Patriots lose some of last year's offensive efficiency while still winning a good number of games. More likely, Borregales will be a solid streaming option when the Patriots are heavily favored and/or playing indoors. Read Past Outlooks
