Welcome to the Weekly Value Meter Rankings. This is a guide to help you decide who to start and sit in a given week. It's is not a season-long ranking nor a draft guide, and it's also not really intended as a free agent guide. While I appreciate that you want my opinion on pickups, every league is different, and your decision on whether to add/drop a particular player might also be dictated by other factors than who is rated higher in a given week.

Here are my operating assumptions for the rankings:

- The RB/WR/TE position rankings are for PPR leagues.
- The Flex rankings are for Standard leagues.
- 1 point per 10 rushing/receiving yards.
- 1 point per 20 passing yards.
- 4 points per passing touchdowns.

These are the fantasy football rankings I use when I make my start/sit decisions. Please consult the rankings first before asking "Should I start Patrick Mahomes or Bryce Young?"

2.	*Patrick Mahomes KC at JAX Note: Mahomes had his first multi-touchdown game of the season, and it turned out to be four-touchdown effort. Did the return of Xavier Worthy mean that much?

7.	*Daniel Jones IND vs. LV Note: How much differently does the Colts' loss to the Rams play out if Adonai Mitchell doesn't fumble a potential long touchdown across the goal line? Jones threw a late interception in the attempted comeback.

19.	*Jaxson Dart NYG at NO Note: Dart injured his hamstring in the win over the Chargers, but he's expected to practice Wednesday. The Giants didn't ask much of Dart downfield, and that will likely continue now that Malik Nabers was out. Dart was impressive with his scrambling skills.

22.	*Mac Jones SF at LAR Note: Jones (PCL) might start on Thursday night, due to Brock Purdy aggravating his toe injury in the loss to the Jaguars. Jones was able to practice Monday.

24.	*Spencer Rattler NO vs. NYG Note: Rattler kept multiple drives alive with his legs last week, scrambling for 49 yards. He'll need more of that against the Giants' pass rush.
25.	*Cooper Rush BAL vs. HOU Note: Rush is likely to start this week with Lamar Jackson (hamstring) out. He gets a tough draw against the Texans.

27.	*Cam Ward TEN at ARI Note: Ward minced no words discussing his and the Titans' offense's performance, which has been a struggle, to say the least.
28.	*Dillon Gabriel CLE vs. MIN Note: Gabriel subbed in late for a faltering Joe Flacco and is expected to start this week against the Vikings, though we're waiting for the Browns to confirm early reports.
29.	*Brock Purdy SF at LAR Note: Purdy aggravated his toe injury in the loss to the Jaguars, and might not be able to play for the short turnaround against the Rams. He did not practice on Tuesday.
30.	*Joe Flacco CLE vs. MIN Note: Flacco was hurt by a few drops from his receivers, but also didn't do himself any favors with a couple of turnovers against the Lions. It looks like Dillon Gabriel will replace Flacco for Week 5.
31.	*Jayden Daniels WAS at LAC Note: Daniels (knee) didn't practice on Friday last week and wasn't able to play - we'll see if he can go this week against the Chargers. If he's cleared to play, he'll be back in my top 10.
